I'm never one of those guys, but hard PASS. Seems like SF has no desire to make a definitive edition of They Live, at least in terms of extras.

Such a nice steelbook. But coming with the uncorrected 4K disc is unfortunate, really hate to reward SF for the low effort release. But I don't own this on any format and dig the steel.

Seems to be the consensus in the 4K thread. We don't know 100%, but it isn't an easy fix and SF didn't mention it in the description. Additionally, they haven't even acknowledged that this is an error on the original disc, and would also potentially have to admit that they botched Prince of Darkness if they admitted that this disc wasn't done correctly.

Scream Factory's track record mostly speaks for themselves.

So, I am not familiar with the originally released 4k… this steel purchase is an upgrade over my old SF They Live CE… it looks nice. I’ve heard it’s basically a color space issue… is that correct?

Yep, apparently it was mastered in the wrong color space so the colors are less saturated than intended.

The steel is very nice, I will say tha; the spot gloss gives it a really nice finish in person.

Picked this up for $24.50 at Barnes and Noble, for once they had a price that beat Amazon and BestBuy. I'm not sure why but it was cheaper than The Fog which is a bit older. Fog listed at 39.99 retail instead of 34.99.

For those that didn't check out the caps, the difference is pretty noticeable. For shout to ignore it is disingenuous. They've already got my money though. I haven't watched the disc yet, I'm hoping the whole thing won't have a ugly yellow/brown bland look to it. Going to watch it later.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like how the Shout factory looks. I'm not really seeing the color space issue everyone is talking about. I am red/green color blind so maybe that is why.
