I wouldnt hold out if I were you. It is most likely going to be a long long time. TV shows are not prioirities and if they didnt do it day and date it probably aint gonna happen. Especially with season 5 starting next week. If Anything, Next year they might, yet unlikely, release the 5th season by itself. You could be waiting years and years for these.

In a moment of weakness I purchased the below.
![]() Guess I'm no longer a man of conviction. :-( Was holding out for the full series to be released on Blu-ray (Region A with lossless audio) for all of the above considering I already own each TV series in full on DVD. Just couldn't help myself the other day. The Office looks (...and sounds) fan-frickin-tastic in HD as do the other shows, especially when viewed on my 120" front projector screen. The DVD's pale in comparison. Worth every penny. The only problem I'm having now is that I long for the earlier seasons of these shows (which were far better than the later seasons) on Blu-ray even more than I did before. That being said, I only have one thing to say to Fox, Universal and NBC. ![]() Seriously. How lame can you get only offering the later seasons of these shows on Blu-ray and not going back after all this time to give the earlier seasons the Blu-ray treatment they deserve? It may sound silly, but I see this as a sign of disrespect to those of us who have supported these very popular shows for many years as they were airing and being released on DVD year after year, but I digress. Sure, don't take my money. Why would anyone want to experience 24, House and The Office in the best picture and sound quality available? That doesn't make any sense at all. <Insert sarcasm here.> Need to also give a serious shout out to the "original" version of The Office as well, the British version which I also own on DVD and would purchase all over again day one it if were offered on Blu-ray. Awesome show. Don't come down on either side of the pond though. I like the British and US versions of The Office for different reasons. There's plenty of room for both and there's definitely room for both on Blu-ray. Last edited by AmishParadise; 10-10-2014 at 01:03 AM. |

What is especially disappointing is that Seasons 2, 3, and 4 of The Office are some of the best seasons. It feels like a major omission. And while season one got off to a slow start for me, it's so short it would fit on one Blu-ray disc with no issues.

Couldn't agree more and you're right, Season 1 was only 6 episodes and could easily fit on one BD-50 with plenty of room to spare for any bonus content. The average file size per episode for Seasons 5-9 on Blu-ray was around 5.5 gb on average, so they could even bump each episode for Season 1 up to 7gb each and still have 3gb left over which would be more than enough for any bonus content.

The complete series of House is available of blu-ray (in a very nice box set). It's region-free and I was able to obtain it from Zavvi a few months ago for $50.

I picked that up as well. It was awesome to finally be able to watch the series from start to finish on Blu-ray.
