You're right, it is. And the G3 is priced at about $700 more for the same size (65-inches), which is approaching 50% more than the asking price of the C3. That makes the C3 look pretty attractive in comparison.

@Hedji, That's the same price at all of LG's authorized dealers and on LG's website too. It is a very aggressive promotion that just started this past Monday, January 22.

We're actually $1 lower priced and we have more benefits.

I'm thinking of going with the C3 for my new TV with my partner. Should I bite now at the $1600 or wait for new TV's?

LG's C3 OLED TV is a very good choice at it's very aggressive promotional price of just $1,599. for the 65" C3.

LG's 2024 C4 is a very nice upgrade with LG Display's new 2024 WRGB OLED panel that is moderately brighter than the 2023 and the 2024 C4 will have LG's next generation of the a9 processor. However, the prices will be much higher and they will likely not be available until early summer.

Hi Robert - do you know if the G4 will street a little earlier than that projected availability for the C4 sets? LG have given me credit with the store I purchased my 77C2 from 13 months ago (courtesy replacement/RMA) but they obviously have no C2 sets left and they aren't showing any stock for 77C3 or 77G3 either.

If my unofficial tip from a reliable resource is correct we'll see LG's 2024 G4 Gallery Series MLA OLED TVs by the end of March.

I see this is discontinued on LG’s website, I’m assuming that if I want one of the ones on Amazon, I should pull the trigger soon?

The C4 will take over, but you may be able to find a C3 while supplies last.

Check with your local Costco store. They recently reduced the 65" C3 down to $1000 but it varies depending on area. My store had five of them at $1499.99 about a month ago, I asked the manager if he was willing to move them at a discount and I would buy them all as family/friends were intested. He said "No, as the price is inline through mid-September". A week later I find out the Costco discounted them to $1000 each, and of course I missed out. I asked the manager how they changed suddenly and he said "We never know the pricing, they get changed and we get notified the morning of" and I respect that but then I asked if that was the case, why was he adament they would not change prices until mid-September that he told me perviously and he had no answer. It wasn't the end of the world to me, I told him thanks for his time. The C4 will dip again later this year, and then C5 will be announced in January and the cycle repeats itself. ;-)

The C4 83 is more pricey, so it must be a big step up.

Unfortunately, it's not a big step up. The C4 is just slightly better than the C3.

Does the C4 still suffer from the green tint angle issue or did LG correct that with a firmware fix?

only if you have a test pattern on the tv and stand way off to the side where viewing what's on tv is impossible..but then again you might find all tvs are not 100% pure. If you are obsessed with imperfections and listen to those who are, no tv will make you happy.

As I always say: TVs are TVs, not grading monitors. And no piece of equipment is 100% accurate.

This is not true in all cases. I made a post about in the LG owners thread. The tint is sometimes way worse than your description but according to LG it is acceptable. The tint appear at 1-2 feet to either side of dead centre of the screen on my C3.

The panels are not the same at all.

I doubt any firmware update can fix it.

If it’s a panel related issue, it won’t.

I own the C4 and have no noticeable green tint, especially at a watchable angle. It was the first thing I checked for. I've only had it for three weeks Manfactured in 07/2024. Rtngs got a C4 that had some extreme a green tint and LG said that was the most extreme that would pass quality control

From Rtngs
"There's a noticeable green tint on the C4 we bought and tested. It's a widespread issue that impacts almost all LG OLED panels but varies widely from unit to unit. LG Electronics has confirmed to us that our unit is about as bad as it gets, and anything worse wouldn't pass LG's quality control checks. Although it varies between units, most people won't see this issue on their TV. This issue also isn't new or exclusive to the C4, as it's been an issue on LG TVs for a few years now."

The unit they purchased has to be before 03/2024 so there could be additional quality control measures in place.

Rtngs is not the only one reporting the C4 green tint:

This review of the new Panny OLED also states it (which I have read uses LG's 4 panels):
