For some reason, they thought it was a good idea to only have the RKO titles as a separate bonus feature.

The entire original 1937 SE negative was scanned for the 1993 re-release/digital version. The CAV laserdisc box set showed the original RKO title cards as a bonus feature.

It was also a bonus feature on the Platinum Edition DVD.

A lot of the bonus features for the Platinum DVD were culled from the laserdisc box set...the documentary on the making of Snow White is a version of the same doc on the laserdisc, with the original narration replaced by Angela Lansbury.

I wonder if this will have a warning at the beginning for non-consensual kissing.

They swap kisses via bird in the first scene, so it's a kind of Avian Promise Kiss.

Sleeping Beauty desperately needs a better restoration. They finally got the aspect ratio right but at the cost of DNR.

That and Lady And The Tramp.

Those are my favorite classic Disneys.

Oh yeah! I’m so glad Disney is finally releasing their classics on 4K! I honestly thought they had stopped at “Mulan”. I think we got Bob Iger to thank for?

Would the menu be similar to the 2001 dvd?

Given that the Diamond Edition, the Signature Collection set, and the 85th Anniversary Edition didn't use the 2001 menus, I bet no.

Although I do hope that the 4K disc at least replaces the stock music in the menu with actual Snow White music; I think it became the only Signature Collection movie not to have its own music in the menu.

I've always thought the animation could have been better on this one. Had Disney and the crew had a bit more time and money, it could have looked absolutely stunning and stood the test of time better than the final result.

I admit, there is a slight uncanny-valley effect to Snow White herself, especially with her face.

They should do a remake where she eats the apple and never wakes up.

They didn't crack the code for animating naturalism in human characters in 1935-37, resorting to the rotoscope (i.e. traced live-action) in certain shots. But they quickly puzzled it out. See Gepetto in 1940's Pinocchio.

It was state of the art for 1937...jeez, guys. Snow White premiered something like 107 months after "Steamboat Willie", if you need some perspective of the explosive growth of the animated medium in those formative experimental years.

People are really roasting the animation in a film from 1937?

Seriously. There are parts in this film where I can't even BELIEVE they were animated by hand.

The animation in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is much better than any film released after The Jungle Book.
