I saw this screen in Brooklyn before Covid, an original 35mm print with the cast and Director in the seats, and it had the overdub. My ancient VHS screener had the overdub as well. If you ever heard the F word that copy was the anomaly.

That would have pushed the film to have an R rating. You can't say the word in a PG-13 film when it references intercourse. You can use the word once, but not in that context. So what you saw was most likely a mistake.

This seems like Tremors where they overdubbed "motherhumpers" twice instead of what is clearly said you can read Kevin Bacon's lips. I've never seen a different version, same with Hackers, it's been screw in Hackers since I was a kid.

I actually learned this from Barbie of all things..They had a MFR in the test screenings that was bleeped with a cutesy Mattel logo over the actors mouth in the theatrical release. **** is fine, but adding the mother to it triggers that rule.

The MPAA is bizarre, violence is somehow more acceptable than a word.

Is anyone else having issues with the audio? I'm only getting lpcm 2.0. I had this issue with Studio 666 as well.

My apologies for bringing up an old thread... But does anyone know where else to pick this up nowadays? Best Buy is sold out and all I can find for the Steelbook is eBay for $80-$90. Just seems absurd for something that went on sale at Best Buy for $10 before it sold out ��

Just wait it could show up as one of the Walmart steelbooks.

The 4K steelbook was never available for $10.
