Has anyone been able to compare the UK with the Criterion , Is the HDR on the UK overly bright or is it really good ? I do see someone sad higher bitrate on the UK . I also like the fact that the UK has a 4K UHD black case and much better artwork .

Would be great if someone can chime in on this before the extra 15% is gone .

Yes , I just got a little sample today of the studio canal 4K and to me it blows out the criterion 4K . Just need to get a good deal on the import . I assume no slipcover anymore ?

Orbits got the 4K . Good Price and better then another SDR 4k from Criterion with there mediocre artwork and scratched discs .

Update , A very good review of someone who owns both and another vote for the UK 4K https://www.reddit.com/r/boutiqueblu..._a_surprising/

I thought this looked phenomenal despite the lack of HDR.

My god, what a film.

You can definitely see elements of Lynch and Gilliam in this.

How does the encoding of this compare to Studio Canal's UHD, which we already know doesn't have great encode? Is Dr. Svet right in his criticisms of Criterion's encode here?

So is there any consensus on what is the better 4k release? StudioCanal or Criterion?

I’ve read differing accounts with different conclusions.

Everyone says Criterion has the better extras but some feel the SC release has the better image.
