I would love to be wrong but there's no way they would have held back the announcement. Especially with JMS spearheading the marketing on Twitter. He would have at least dropped hints.

He may not know, or has been told to keep quiet about it. If you noticed, he was very careful about what information he put out there about this animated movie and spoke about when he could reveal more, and when WB would do so. You may also be looking at this the wrong way because there will be more promotion when this release hits streaming and retailers on disc. At that time, perhaps (yes, wishful thinking too, I know), WB may announce the series coming out on BD in October, November, or December, just in time for the holidays.

What fan wouldn't want that set as a Christmas gift?

JMS queried fans about Blu-rays recently, but said it was just a theoretical question or something.

I guess it likely no decisions have been made yet but JMS may have been putting feelers out. If this sells well, than that's the right time to be getting Warner on board with the idea. So I don't think a series by series BD is planned yet.

It's entirely possible that this coming release is also meant to test the waters in more than one way. So yes, it is indeed possible that they want to see how this animated film performs before they make a decision about putting this show on Blu-ray.

However, on the other hand, the Warner Archive Collection has released far less worthy titles on Blu-ray up to this point.

Warner like to wait for SDCC to announce popular titles finally getting a Blu-ray release, if they put on a B5 panel then I would say that would be the perfect time to drop the news.

Those of you who do the Twitter thing, please ask Joe if we can get a theatrical release of this, at least one of those "one night only" screenings. If the movie is short, maybe they could pair it with a classic episode like "The Coming of Shadows" or "Severed Dreams". Would be beyond amazing to see B5 on the big screen with a bunch of fans.

In what world do you think JMS has even the tiniest amount of control over that?

Extreme weirdness with my Walmart order. Got a text that the total had changed; it still shows as active & "preparing", but the price is now $0.00, with a -27.96 adjustment due to "pre-order price match".

Personally, I don't think JMS ought to have to spend his time fielding inane ideas like that one. Call me crazy. Or snarky, or rude, or whatever you like, it's fine by me. Either way, is bad for Zathras.
