3D is pretty much the whole point of this movie, and I got the 3D blu ray at a very low price, so why would this be of interest?

I don't know, keep asking yourself and figure it out or something.

I've never seen this in 3D and I still consider it one of the top classic science fiction movies of all time. It might be fun but it definitely doesn't require 3D for its effectiveness. It's a great movie, period.

I have the original 3D Blu-ray and trust me, the 3D makes the movie even better. Especially the shots of the desert and roads, the depth makes the scenes even more eerie. The meteor (spacecraft) flying around and it’s crashing, sending tons of rock into the air, is outstanding.

The filmmakers even said that they had the shoot planned for 3D, to make the sets and locations look more realistic.

Just want to second the above. ICFOS has some of best immersive 3D ever. The overall sense of depth is remarkable. The entire film feels similar to an extended Rod Serling Twilight Zone episode--sparse and intelligent filmmaking.

I keep hoping my OLED 3D lasts many more years. After it dies, my only recourse is projection or finding overpriced video glasses. I wish someone would make a black box that would enable any set to play 3D videos.

You're missing out. The first time I saw it in 3D was at the Egyptian theater in Hollywood, with Ray Bradbury present. It's very much enhanced by the 3D.

For god's sake, it's a solid classic 50s sci-fi movie no matter how you watch it. Thrilled that both of these new releases have UHD, BR and 3D and I look forward to watching it in both 3D and 4K.

I know there was speculation that Arrow might release Conan but... do you know something for certain?

You get a Conan, and you get a Conan! Nah, I don't know for sure, but the spider-senses are a tingling, so I think there's a good chance it's happening.

This is so great and frankly, unexpected. I love Universal's commitment to 4K - second to Sony out of the big studios imo

Pre-ordered the CE at Gruv. Is "Universal Essentials Collection" a new line, or a one-off for this title? EDIT: Looks like they have this branding for THE STING now also.

I believe these are all of them:

Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary
The Big Lebowski
It Came From Outer Space
The Sting

I think the only other retailer I spotted them at was Amazon:

It Came from Outer Space 4K + 3D Blu-ray UEC

It Came from Outer Space 4K + 3D Blu-ray not active yet on Amz

I know the Jurassic Park one was advertised as being a Gruv and Amazon exclusive, so it's probably the same for all of them.

Downside is that Amazon doesn't lower their price since there's no one to price match. I don't think I've used the anniversary code on Gruv yet, considering it for this.

Just had someone PM me about what 3D glasses I use. I tried to send them a response but it wouldn't go through (obviously I'm doing something wrong!). I have an Epson 4010 projector and the glasses I use are Epson RF 3D Glasses (ELPGSO3) . . . You can find them new on eBay for about $50 a pair! Thanks!
