Got my copy in a box five times bigger than necessary. With no packing at all I've dodged another bullet with having no dents. This is getting even more ridiculous. I just received the Prey 4k steelbook a few days back in totally different packaging that actually had some cushioning at least.

I've exchanged opened copies multiple times, on Best Buy site it says any opened media is exchangeable only if available.

I did just that, and that worked! Thanks for the push PN. And yeah. I gave the set an extra check to make doubly sure it was ok. Also, don't take an employee at his word that they don't have any in stock. I was asked if I wanted a full refrund since they had none in stock. I got the refund but found six copies on the shelf. Wonder what he was looking up.

Reason why I was hesitant I almost had a bad experience when bought a Transformers Steelbook Collection. The Steelbook was fine, but it was advertised as containing the Blu-rays and DVDs when it only came with the Blu-rays. They said they couldn't accept media that was opened but I made the case that I couldn't have known that the set didn't come with DVDs unless I opened the bloody thing.

I just got 2 delivered by UPS in a stupid padded mailer and of course both are visibly damaged through the plastic. 8 steelbooks in the past 3 days from best buy and every one trashed because of poor packaging. 2 trips to 2 different stores today and 3 hours later to make exchanges and now i have to drive an hour to a store to switch out the copies of The Mist. FRUSTRATING.

Lionsgate's steelbook game is strong. This thing looks great. First pressing stamp. Disc art is on point. Four discs each on their separate hub with one double-sided flipper, so no stacked discs.

Code redeems only on Vudu. No iTunes, no Google / YouTube. Lionsgate title, so no MA.

Will try to watch this soon.

I preordered the Steelbook as soon as it went up.

Over the weekend, it was being prepared for shipment. Today, I received an email that my preorder was delayed.

I just went to check the status, and IT WAS CANCELLED. They never notified me it was cancelled. There currently are none available for shipping.

The good news is Lionsgate Steelbooks usually get restocked. I’m just annoyed because I preordered as soon as it was available.

Got mine today, also in an oversized box with no padding inside, but it was free of damage at least on the SteelBook. The plastic slipcover has a little bit of the top corner missing from the front, though. Not sure if it will warrant an exchange for me since everything else looks good, but a bit bummed on that quality control.

Quite literally the same for me, only the corner of the slipcase was punched in rather than broken. My Natural Born Killers steel came the same way. Now, I'm reluctant to do the shipping option. This is quite a beautiful steelbook in hand!

Really? That's frustrating. And I agree! But I feel like I haven't seen a pickup option on Beat Buy preorders in a while myself, so it seems like shipping or going in the day of release and rolling the dice are the only two options...

Went to pick up my copy yesterday. I hate it when the Best Buy employee stamps the pickup sleeve really hard. Only happens at one or two locations around here, but they always pound the thing like it owes them money. Still, because of the thicker outer sleeve, there was no damage. Excited to give this one a rewatch.

Mine is, especially on the right side of the back cover. It seems a bit warped. But this is something common with these plastic slipcovers, so I don't mind too much. I've begun to just accept it at this point. haha

When I picked this up on Tuesday, pretty much all the other copies in the store were like this as well.

I am just happy this got a 4K release. And this being a 4-disc set is pretty nice too.
