I wouldn't be surprised if the BDs come out the same day as the game. Makes sense. I will get all three.

There seems to be a BIG ANNOUCEMENT coming to this year's Comic Con in San Deigo concerning Ghostbusters.......I believe it will be the High Def versions of both films and maybe the classic TV cartoon show on blu-ray?!? Either way, I can't wait!!

When is Comic Con anyway?
It might also be the new video game that is coming out this fall also. Just a thought.

There is no third movie, the new game for next-gen consoles is considered to be the third in the series. This is from Dan Akroyd himself in an issue of Game Informer where "Ghostbusters" was the cover feature. Game will feature voice talent of all four original ghostbusters, and from what I've seen and read, some insane graphics and physics. Since it's a Sony property im sure the PS3 version will get some bonuses.

The announcement pertains to either this, or the first two movies on BD

The sony insider on this very site said that they are using the latest Scanners, Dust and Particule Removal tool on that title. (Ghostbuster 1)

Agreed. I don't see how a "big announcement" so distant as this summer could be something that's already been announced and very well publicized.

It could be a Blu-ray release of the films... maybe the animated series... maybe a NEW animated series.

It could also be a new movie with an all-new cast. Can you imagine Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Jack Black and Ben Stiller as a new generation of Ghostbusters? INSANE!
