sooooo glad I avoided other releases after the DVD. Can't wait to get my dirty, stinky, zombi gooed hands all over this one! It'll be like Beastmaster 4K! A dream becoming real!
and I was just trying to figure out the other day what that tune was the little Curly looking fella keeps playing. Just sticks in your head! love that so much

I shall place this next to Santa Sangre on my "Hipster Horror" shelf.

If Severin ends up charging anywhere from $70-$100 for this I'd sadly pay it. This is easily one of my favorite Italian films of all time and easily top 5 Italian horror films. Michele Soavi's best film by twenty miles that simply leaves you thinking once it's over. I was pretty happy not giving Severin my money after their last sale, but they got me hook line and sinker with this one.

Yeah. You don't want to give Severin any ideas.

I don't know if offering to pay more is a good idea. Severin will likely price accordingly. I offer to pay $55-60 before shipping, and I want to say again no $13 shipping. But, maybe there will be a few titles I want at the time this comes out. Then I can embrace that FREE shipping level if that isn't bumped to a higher threshold by then.

This has been one of my top ten favorite films since renting it in the 90s. Pure adoration. Since Severin's UHD game is on point, I have no problem paying whatever for a film I hold so dearly. And, if Severin reads this, I'd do the same for El Juego Del Diablo and Closed Circuit. They're lesser known, but both are masterpieces and more than worthy of the format.

So I'm guessing this will be another Four Flies/Last Horror Film situation? Sale exclusive with a price tag of $55 plus $13 shipping? If so, no thanks Severin.

They should Ebay one copy at time. Let the market determine the price.

Curious if there's any truth to the bidding war speculation. Are people confusing this with Funeral Home? If there was a bidding war, who else could've been vying for this? Certainly VS, maybe Shout? Criterion? Severin was the victor, which means they've likely paid a king's ransom for this. The wording that was used was that they "wrestled the rights away", which I take to mean that whoever was claiming ownership thought they had the rights or were in between contracts. Kino, or someone else had claimed that someone had the rights and that something fell through. Whatever the case may be, I'm glad it's over and this masterpiece will finally see light of day, and on 4K no less! Bring it on, at whatever price.

"Wrestled the rights away" is a really aggressive way to say "wrote a check." They're trying to prepare us for the gouging that's on its way.

It'll only be available during the full moon on a weekday and there will only be 1000 copies for sale (with 10,000 available under the table wink wink) and shipping will be $15 by media mail and when USPS loses your copy tough luck kid haha

And hello Kyle15 - I recognize that name and avatar from a music database we both frequent.

Any word on when they might be releasing this? I hope they do a standard release and not some limited release Combat Shock stunt. I can't support that anymore.

Don't hold your breath. By how Severin describes it, it sounds very much like a under the table release... ;-)

I've always thought of this release as on the same level as Dead Alive or True Lies. It would be a shame if they limited it to a release on a weekend during a sale. Unfortunately, regardless of their behaviour, they will sell this one out.

I honestly don't care how they do it as long as it's a good release. Under the table? Takez my moniez plz.

Severin have made some crap, but 4 Flies was great and I'm hoping they put as much care into this one.

Just be prepared to buy it that weekend it becomes available to order. Don't make the Four Flies mistake many made in assuming it would be around long after.
