Unfortunately, I think that's unlikely. I don't see Disney releasing that themselves or licensing it out (although Criterion did get Wall-E, so who really knows).

It's the same reason I don't see Big Trouble In Little China getting the UHD upgrade from SF.

Not my favorite Cronenberg. I’m good with the blu.

Damn, I wish they would import the Stephen Jones and Kim Newman commentary that's on the Aussie blu-ray.

Nice. King adaptations have been a pretty loyal base for physical media. The blu of the 1990 IT miniseries looks great, but I'd probably take the uhd since it was so impactful as a kid then and extremely scary then. It'd also be nice to get the proper tv airing specs that were on the LD. And perhaps an Atmos mix to go along with the original audio.

Ya know, I've thought about the two classic TV mini-series for IT and Salem's Lot and wondered if I'd really fiend for a 4k of both.... The BD's look exceptional already, and they were television premieres. I'm sure a 4K could improve the quality, but probably not enough to go "wow".

Yes!! So happy about this. One of 3 or 4 Cronenberg I have been holding for a rainy day. I have that Steven King 5 pack bluray set that features The Dead Zone and I've almost popped it in so many time... Glad I held off. I really enjoy seeing classic films for the first time in great 4KUHD quality!

I like to double feature this with Brainstorm, so if you could just go ahead and give me a 4K of that too that would be great.

I'd upgrade It for the full TV cut. I'm happy with the Salem's Lot Blu.

I wonder if this will have the special features that came on Imprint's release that weren't on Shout's first release.

Just ordered.
Cost £47 inc shipping to UK FFS!
Got to be done - wanted this on blu-ray but never came out in the UK.
Sometimes I don't mind paying the extra

19th Dec release so probably won't get it until into 2024 because of the Christmas mail, double FFS! LOL

Glad it's coming out though.
