I've reevaluated a few movies after watching them in better conditions.

The french vhs even had a warning - the distributor being sorry for the lack of luminosity and explaining he tried his best to locate the best available copy.

We should feel so lucky to finally get an HD copy for this movie. There might be hope for Deodato's Body Count.

Yeah, I really think the tubi to boutique blu-ray pipeline is real.

Thanks Whiteberry for the information, i appreciate it. I can't believe i missed the pre order over the weekend but good to know there will be another opportunity in the near future.

I actually got one of those reminder emails from VS reminding me i had something in my basket, but it wouldn't let me place the order as i was too late lol.

The definitely isn't a 4K scan from the OCN or anything... but damn I can't get over how good it looks compared to the VHS rip I've been living off of since I discovered it in high school.

Yeah, it's like a sleazier Graduation Day rip-off that goes even harder on the sports theme... and ends with an absolutely unhinged killer reveal that is going to cause a lot of Twitter discourse. Very topical politically, which is unfortunate. Trying hard not to spoil it.

Given that Twitter (or X as it's called now) is moving to a pay to use format now i doubt that you need to worry about sensitive crybabies whining on that site about a 39-year old film. Now Letterboxd is another story.
