While it's not my favorite art, like many Steelbooks that look unappealing in their mockup, this looks much better in person. Between this and the 4K of Oppenheimer, I've got my Thanksgiving evening sorted out.

Well, looks like my store is not getting any. I cannot wait for Best Buy to stop selling physical media. I could not get The Exorcist, Prey (although I got it eventually by chance weeks later) and now The Fugitive Steelbooks. If they're not gonna bring them to stores what is the point of having this exclusivity?

Looks like one of their last exclusive steels, since they won't be making anymore starting in '24.

Just noticed little dings/rivets in mine. Little annoyed but not going through the hassle of a return since I already opened it.

My closest store only got in 1 copy, ordered it last night for ISPU. Thankfully it is flawless.

The weird thing is they got in slews of all sorts of titles, but almost nothing for The Fugitive or Oppenheimer (except they did get TONS of blu-rays for that, but that was weird since I'm pretty sure that UHD far outsells blu-ray at my local BB these days and they got little to no 4k for that and ZERO steelbooks).

On a side note, I see saying that each time they go to their local BB it has less and less movie racks or they are suddenly all gone, at my local one, they actually have EXPANDED the physical media section now twice in the last month!

FedEx tracking said mine was supposed to be delivered last Saturday, and is still in transit. It spent a lot of time at one FedEx terminal in Ohio. Looks like it may arrive today. Why do I have the feeling its going to be smashed to smithereens?

I'm aware of Best Buy dropping media, but they don't make these things, Scanavo does.

Hmm...

It's difficult to say, but these days, it's probably between 2,500 to 5,000 copies at the higher end, if I had to guess.

Older titles like The Fugitive may be on the lower end, even less than 2,500.

No, that's just it. Nobody ever knows. They don't announce it but people seem to think they know what the range might be but they are just guessing. They don't have a clue.

the fugitive was a monster hit. tommy lee jones wins an oscar. it gets nominated for best picture. it was the third highest grossing movie of the year, and this is despite coming out in the summer time when jurassic park was making all the money.

it even winds up getting a sequel. sure, the original poster isn’t great, but harrison ford was a huge star. of course he was going to be the focus of all the marketing.

if ever there was a title you would think they would produce more copies, this would be it.

It was on TV this evening. Despite the adverts I enjoyed it enough to want to buy the 4K, even if the steelbook art is less than great.

Back in my lurking days here, people consistently posted that scanvo used to have their minimum orders at 4000. Don't know if that changed.

Didn’t plan on getting this (trying to be more careful with blind buys) but after a great site review and most members here singing its praises, I decided to use reward points and pick this up today.

There was only 1 left around my whole region according to the app, and that 1 happened to be at my closest store.

It’s in great shape other than 1 tiny little chip on the front that isn’t too noticeable due to the other white dots on the steelbook art.
