Back in day reviewer Michael Reuben had stated that his contact from WB said these titles and the box set were very poor sellers. If true not sure about the prospects of these titles.

Maybe White Heat?

Some of the Panasonic players let you adjust the brightness of the subtitles which can be really helpful in some cases.

So I checked out the Amazon page for this since it is coming out soon and saw it had a 3 out of 5 rating...whats wrong I thought? Then I see this as the top review.

"Old movie" = DVD is fine. Idiots like this are why DVDs continue to outsell blus despite looking like ass compared to blu, and especially 4k.

Are there alot of people who think that because a movie is 'old' means that the resolution is less? 4k = 35mm roughly, and these 80+ year old movies will look a whole lot better than stuff filmed on video.

Don't know why Amazon removed the ability to label reviews from idiots as 'unhelpful', or to add comments on reviews to further point out their idiocy

Yeah I was about to do that, but now the only option is rating it 'helpful'. Thanks Amazon, now we can't point out reviews that have false information in them that misleads readers and might lead to someone not buying the item.

Apparently not hurting people's feelings is more important to Amazon than potentially losing money because a reviewer didn't read the description properly, or has absolutely no idea what he's talking about, and decides to leave a bad review as a result

My first 4K Disc was Citizen Kane, and it looks great, but the new BDs also share the same transfer on BD and 4K disc, so the difference isn't too huge, of course the 4K will always look better, and the 4K upscaler on the TV also does a good job, I was struggling if I should order the 4K disc or the BD. I've pre-ordered the BD now (and for the 9€ I saved I've ordered Sunset Boulevard on BD ), I can live with the quality and I wouldn't give a bad review for a 4K disc.

for example:

Got my 4K of The Roaring Twenties in yesterday from Amazon! When I ordered it, it was at $36 then while in shipping phase, it went to $32. I chatted with customer service and they gave me a $4 credit. I was polite about it and they were nice enough to do it for me.

Hard to take seriously someone's opinion where they suggest a DVD as a better option than a modern UHD. I know there are very, VERY rare exceptions where that might be the case but I'd be 100% confident in saying that THE ROARING TWENTIES won't be one of them.

Just got this and it looks and sounds fantastic but I must admit I was a bit bummed when I found out they omitted the archival featurette/interview piece The Roaring Twenties: The World Moves On from the original 2005 Warner DVD release. I thought it was odd because they did include the equivalent of that featurette for their High Sierra release a few years back.

Pretty crazy that there is only one Cagney film on 4k and no Errol Flynn

The resolution is beside the point, the 4K of this one is worth it for the HDR grade alone.

I can easily see this movie getting the Scarface treatment. Getting remade into an over-the-top contemporary opera and becoming even more remembered than the original. And instead of Eddie Bartlett, it's Eddie Navarro. And it's LA instead of NY.
