I was starting to think they'd just stopped releasing titles, won't this be their first release in over 18 months?

Also, the spine number looks to be 21, while the last one currently is Stagefright at 19. I wonder if there's another announcement coming soon?

As they have/had the rights to The House With Laughing Windows and there is a new resto I wonder if there is a UHD in the offing as Le Chat Qui Fume have announced in the US.

most of the films shameless had the rights to 15 years ago they still do that's why labels like arrow or 88films can't get hold of them for a Blu-Ray release in the UK' that's why films like foot prints' killer nun' the Bronx warriors films or my dear killer have never had a UK Blu-Ray release it took them 16 years to release the film the frightened woman on Blu-ray because that's how long they have had it for the films they released are good but their Blu-Ray releases are not they have had a lot of problems with them like wrong aspect ratio or sound problems they have been going for a long time so why have they had so many bad releases.

May I ask why you have deliberately chosen not to use any punctuation in your post? It's an endless sentence...

The Shameless one seems to look more natural which makes me almost want to double dip, but I have generally avoided doing that with any movies so far unless it's an upgrade to 4K.

Shameless almost hit a home run with this release, but there's one caveat. During the third act, there are a number of added or dropped frames that give a stuttering effect. I would estimate it happens about 10–15 times, and I found it to be moderately distracting. I got to the point where I was looking out for it to happen.

I've experienced this before with StudioCanal's The Masque of the Red Death, it's much more subtle on that release, though. And more recently with Umbrella's Twisted Nerve, which is another StudioCanal master.

Interesting. 10 or 15 times? I have both those releases and have viewed both a couple of times, but I noticed no such anomaly.

It's very subtle, maybe I'm overly sensitive to it. I first noticed it when they go outside to the fields. Another film that does this, is the Icon release of The Love Witch. It's almost subliminal, but once you notice it, it can be a bit distracting.

Just watched it and noticed that. Way more than 15 times, I’d say.

I watched it on an old Sony BD machine so hopefully it’s player related.

I didn't imagine it then!

I noticed the frame jumps when I watched it on my Panasonic 4K player. I haven't tested the disc on my other BD players yet (both Sonys).

I did a very basic comparison of one scene and I have to say I definitely prefer the colours of the Shameless vs. Mondo Macabro! Great work on making this look great! Will analyse later whether to still keep the Mondo Macabro or not. I usually don't keep multiple copies of a movie, but maybe it's a good showcase to keep and demonstrate how releases can differ slightly but significantly.

Yep, Shameless did a really good job with the colours, looks and feels great.

Damn. I have and watched SC's Masque and don't remember anything. Also have but not watched Umbrella's Twisted Nerve. And Love Witch I have the US release, so dodged one there. Will have to rewatch/watch the former two. Tonight I'm watching this Shameless to confirm. Good thing I didn't blindly replace the MM.

There's no mention of any issues in the Twisted Nerve thread on here, but I found the slight jumps to be so distracting, I almost gave up watching it.

How odd... I recently viewed my copy, as well as SC's Masque Of The Red Death, and experienced no such issue. I'm usually very sensitive to that type of thing too... 🤔

The only thing I can think of is some players handle discs differently. I was really surprised that the stuttering nightmare that was the initial 4K release of Donnie Darko played flawlessly on certain players. I would guess it's probably down to memory and buffering.
