Saw Ride in Toronto on Tuesday night so forced myself to listen to the new album on the 60 mins drive up...wow, really good! New tunes live were excellent and of course had much better dynamics than the awfully mastered retail album but I can appreciate the songs at least, three great albums now since the reunion and still slaying it live.

"The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess" by Chappell Roan
"Clancy" by Twenty One Pilots

I'm gay and depressed/anxious, so as you can see, my musical tastes check out.

Also, a bit of shameless self-promotion, but I just did a play in NYC that I wrote and acted in, and one of our actresses is also a musician. She rewrote one of her old, unused songs to fit the show, and that's been on repeat for a couple months now as well. It's called "The Great Unknown" by Carolann Solebello.

Need to go back and make a full edited list, but this year the band, F*cked Up released 3 studio albums, and a couple of singles and live albums and I loved them all! Specifically, Who's Got the Time & a Half?.

Up next Touché Amoré and their album, Spiral in a Straight Line.

Judas Priest’s Invincible Shield, The Last Dinner Party’s Prelude to Ecstasy, Bruce Dickinson’s The Mandrake Project, and The Cure’s Songs of a Lost World round out the list. Need to go back and re-listen and fill out some I missed to make a definitive list.
