Blu-ray and PS3 are off to one great year!

The problem of Playstation 3 was the blu-ray being unproven yet. Now, everything has changed and everyone starts talking like "WOW, Blu-ray succeeded very quickly" "WOW, Playstation 3 is the monster" "WOW, The press talks positively about PS3 and Blu-ray" and they start saying things I have been saying since 2006.
In 2007, PS3 outsold Xbox360.In 2007, PS3 sold 8.83 million consoles without the hot games, Bluray being the winner yet and without home service. Why?? Tell me why?? It's Playstation brand...Something you lived with and never let you down.
For the record, in 2006.. I said the wii is a toy. Mr. wada said it in 2007. It seems he agrees with me.

thats great to hear! but yet you have said the same stuff we have all went through here with our buddys, coworkers, even pet dogs, most people here have all stood up for blu and PS3 and still do, even Michael Bay stood up for blu ray in the start too. but hey we will take all the support out there

these are mostly microsoft, and nintendo fanboys. They been raving how 360 and wii is better, but then the numbers come out, and as the future is starting to show, things are changing, basically, peoples problems are, they CAN'T admit they were wrong. I told around 8 guys not to start a hd-dvd collection months ago, it will not beat blu-ray, I would laugh everytime they kept buying movies, its back by microsoft, its backed by microsoft, it can't lose they would say. Not one of the 8 came to me and said I should have listened to you, or you were right, they keep saying the same crap, hd-dvd is better and should have won, people just don't know what their doing, so some still can't admit it, hope you enjoy selling those hd-dvd players and movies, cause you ain't getting the money back you put into them

I am Playstation fanboy through and through, never owned any other system since Sega Genesis. But I didn't let that blind me, I looked at the format war from the start and said to myself the BDA has more companies backing it both studios and CE and the PS3 will have a blu ray player included. To me it was a no brainer which would win, but almost everyone I knew said there was no way they would buy a PS3 and that blu ray would fail because of its price. Now that I am and many others here were right and the PS3 is selling better than ever, everyone else in the gaming community is eating crow.

this should of been a no brainier, when the PS2 came out DVD sales spiked ultimately ending the vhs and dvd war. wouldn't people see the same with the ps3 with blu ray? or are they that fan boyish and dumb to not see the truth in front of them?

I just think it is great the people are finally seeing that blu-ray in the PS3 was not a mistake it was a stroke of genius.

There are so many reasons to buy the PS3, and I think that is what Sony is banking on.

I was sold pretty much within a week about pondering about getting a new console (since Dreamcast - R.I.P. ); the Playstation is really going to hit its stride late this year. I don't think that GTA IV will do much for the PS3, which is a shame because it was the no. 1 selling point of the PS2. If Little Big Planet and Killzone 2 receive praise, this should really bolster the already current lineup of staples, like MGS4 and GT5.

I really just want a couple of tweaks to the system, such as x-bar in-game access and be able to create a bootable choice menu for Linux or the PS3. Nothing too serious.
