I got mine yesterday and I’m pleasantly surprised by the new special features. I checked out the transfer and it’s not the best I’ve ever seen but much better than the digital stream I watched last year.

Yeah it's kind of a under the radar release. Very good.

Despite being shy of UHD level, the PQ is about as good an upgrade as one could get.

I haven’t seen that version, but honestly the Shout! Disc is good to me. But I’m not a huge videophile, if it looks better than my last copy and has no noticeable glitches I’m typically happy. The blacks are very inky.

I will also say I did buy this more for the new commentary and director interview (that guy is always a blast in his commentaries especially the sequels on the old dimension dvds)

I remember sort of hating this when I saw it in theaters, but I revisited it on DVD a few years ago and oh my god it was so much fun. The Virgin Megastore scene alone where all the women are wet for Gerard Butler. Dracula 2000 is the perfect title, because it is so unabashedly of the time. Can't wait for my blu-ray to arrive next week.

I still love that director Patrick Lussier mentioned in his commentary how both the girls and “some of the boys” where lusting after Gerard butler durring filming.

I would only rewatch this to get nostalgic about Vitamin C, I still have the DVD haven't played it in 20 years prob, I felt like Blade Trinity shamelessly ripped off the entire plot to this film, and maybe both did the same with John Carpenter's Vampires

Not the first time Ninja III Is found in a disc file. They probably use it as their template or something.

Edit: It was actually Unlawful Entry that had mention of Ninja III in its file.

I'll throw my 2 cents in on this release. Haven't dipped into the special features yet but the transfer is excellent. I own the Alliance disc and it has a lot of issues. If you're a fan of the film, I highly recommend the Scream release.

I think you'll be quite pleased with the new transfer. It's far more detailed, clear and film like. I'm pleased with my purchase

Nice upgrade. Colors and details are better with grain retained. With the new extra features easy recommended for existing owners.

You can actually easily read House of Blues clearly in the last comparison, far right-bottom.

Too bad there is no slip cover. But I guess they don't consider it a collector's edition.

After watching the directors 47 minute interview I’m shocked this was promoted to a collectors edition!
