No surprise that it seems to be lacking HDR. They sent the movie out to die in the cinema with a super limited release, the studio clearly doesn't care about the movie enough to give it the best 4K disc either.

I would love to hear the original inner monologue by Bill Skarsgard. I am not saying it would be better but it would be cool to have both options.

The movie has been on streaming video for weeks now and unusual no reviews. Even Kscape did not get this movie early and I picked this up as a blind buy so a little worried about how it will look and sound. It is Lionsgate so the audio should be booming 💣

No, my comments were correct. Atmos is licensed and leased, not loaned or borrowed. You're unhelpful in all areas apparently.

did anyone happen to preorder this from target? it releases today but there’s still no street date listed on their website so it hasn’t shipped out yet. i tried getting them to update the site but their customer service was borderline useless.

I preordered. Still hasn't shipped. My Amazon copy is out for delivery. COVID taught me to hedge my bets.

The back slip and cover both say dolby atmos and HDR

I popped the disc in. Atmos pulled up and the menu showed it was Atmos track, but SDR image.

I was looking at the back cover and I couldn't find any mention of HDR other than that 'standard' 4K HDR graphic we see on both this and the Civil War slips. Feels like it was just standard artwork applied to any Lionsgate 4K release and no one bothered to even confirm if had HDR.

The disc itself even has an Atmos logo on it.

Actually my point was about the lack of Atmos IN THEATERS, not the disc, as I was aware it was on the disc. ^^

Thought it was okay. The story was a little cheesy, and the voiceover got a little old imo, but I loved the action / style of it overall, especially some of the choreography in the fight scenes.

PQ wasn’t horrible, but it won’t win any awards for PQ of the year. Wonder if it’s much better than the BD. I would rather spend my time watching something else on my backlog list though instead of taking the time to compare ha.

I’m keeping it in the collection, but I would probably recommend waiting for it to go on sale.
