I totally missed this announcement, kinda feels fitting for the movie
![]() Ordered on Amazon and looking forward to this one in 4K. I will dump the French blu-ray with forced subtitles in the Seine river. |

Watched it tonight and loved revisiting Bruiser. Quite the improvement over the original DVD and prior blu-ray, it felt surreal that out of all Romero movies, only Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and now Bruiser have received a 4K Blu-ray release.
For me it's easily top 5 Romero, on par with Day of the Dead, but not as great as Night/Dawn and The Dark Half. Anything he did after Bruiser, I felt didn't work that well, so I see this one as kinda the last 'auteur' entry. As for features on this edition, what lovely interviews with Flemyng, DR Chud from Misfits, both are clearly fans and were honored to having worked with Romero. I also read the book that's included and it has a great analysis of the movie, as well as archival interviews. Usually with these I feel that the writers veer off into other movies they'd rather discuss from the same director, not so here. And last but not least, the selection of stills, posters and photos included makes for a great collage. Like I said, surreal this exists. |

As for a blind buy release on Bruiser, only if you are interested in seeing a indy take on materialism, wealth and the loss of identity as a result. Yes it has some gory stuff as you'd expect, but it's quite soft compared to a 'American Psycho' which deals with some of the same themes but in a much more violent way. |

A quick heads up - Bruiser has been one of our faster recent sellers, and is likely to sell out in both formats soon.

Thanks for the heads-up, Indicator! I grabbed two copies of the 4k for my film library. I had a blast revisiting this. Not many films out there can boast about being a clever mash-up of American Psycho and The Count of Monte Cristo
![]() Now, speaking of the iconic remaining Romero catalog titles, why the hell isn't anyone in a rush to roll out The Crazies (1973) in 4k uhd???? I thought someone like Arrow would've been on it by now (since Arrow did the last US blu ray about 7 years ago). I'm putting this musing out there just in case no one has grabbed the 4k license rights yet, and maybe Indicator has an interest in another Romero uhd jam...
