they put out a lot of great stuff and have for a decade. but some of the fans act like theyve only heard of the ones people are insufferable about.
I love Under the Skin but I enjoyed Hereditary more and I certainly enjoyed it more than The Lighthouse. It's not personal it's just a preference.

People rate some films above those you deem worthy....shocker.

preferences are fine!

under the skin and the lighthouse lean more abstract and hereditary is more straight forward. so i can see that.

the hype/baggage for hereditary might have hurt for some people (not just me lol). toni collette for an oscar? get out of here. i saw it at one of those night before screenings, and i remember saying i liked the approach/style of the movie. from a critique standpoint, there were some flaws.

critique is not the same was whether someone enjoyed the movie. i dont know this is so lost on people. i dont even care that people have different views.

me listing a lot of other A24 movies that people didnt catch for any reason or another shouldnt be looked as a bad thing. this is a solid company that has made a lot of great movies that for one reason just didnt find a huge audience at the time. and that just happens sometimes. so just check out these other movies they were involved in.

Aftersun
Midsommar
Uncut Gems

I haven't seen Iron Claw yet but as a big wresting fan in the late 80s and early 90s I have a feeling it might sneak into the Top 3. It's a touch Top 3 to crack, too. A24 puts out some really good films.

Hereditary

I liked most of those to some degree. I am surprised they've distributed so many movies over the years. I like A24's focus on something unique and strange from the usual.

As a fan of Hereditary and Midsommar horror films, I'll probably see Eddington if the trailer looks interesting. Beau is Afraid was interesting.

you've seen the best 3 films..... subject over.....

I rank those as my top 3…maybe replacing EEAOA with Pearl…and have seen a ton of A24 movies. People rank them that way because they are proper bangers.

I’m also crazy about Blackcoats Daughter, VVitch, Lamb, St Maud, Silver Lake, Civil War, Florida Project and plenty of others. They have plenty of stuff. No need to be miserable to everyone for liking the bangers.
