Surely an update sent to those who ordered directly through Treasured isn't too much to ask?!

They were certainly very efficient at taking my money back in May.

Exactly. And they waited until the expected dispatch date each time to admit there is an issue, and to announce it will be delayed further. They're not upfront about issues. I won't be ordering direct again. And if the delay is due to manufacturing like they claim, then why have 2 titles that hadn't even been announced when I preordered Dawn Of The Mummy been released since with no delays? Surely the manufacturing process is the same for those? They aren't telling us something

I agree 100%. The lack of comms is the issue here. Releases get delayed, no problem, but at least let those of us whose money you're hanging onto know about it...

Like you, I won't be ordering direct again.

My mate just sent me an email from Treasured Films. Bare in mind this has been delayed 3 times now. He emailed requesting to cancel... after getting no response in 7 days, he submitted a PayPal claim. The owner of Treasured Films then sent him a snotty email telling him that he's now blacklisted and can never order from them again. So, after ordering 5 months ago, 3 delays and no response to a polite cancellation request within 7 days, I would have done exactly the same. This company is unreal. The owner of Treasured Films makes Bill from Code Red (rest in peace) seem as cool as a cucumber

Also, my friend is not on social media either. So was left completely in the dark each time until I updated him on the delays

They have a Jeff Lieberman film weekend at a cinema this weekend coming, with stalls. I've not been keeping up to tabs with things in detail as I'm not in a position to attend, but I'd expect all of that has added significantly to their workload of late, and is probably slowing them down a bit.

It amazes me that companies can still treat customers like this. Have they never heard of social media, or physical-media fan forums like this? Bad reputations spread like wildfire, and it's all so unnecessary. A little bit of comms would have solved this!

There's a reason why (most) people rave about companies like VS - they put customer service at the heart of their operation, unlike Treasured that seems to treat customers with contempt.

I'm still looking forward to this release, but the Treasured brand has certainly been irretrievably tarnished - at least for me.

My mate has given me permission to share a screenshot of the email reply from Treasured Films on my film Instagram page. I'm tempted, because I feel some of these little labels need a harsh lesson in how not to treat customers

Treasured just got back to me regarding a scratched disc, they said if I send it back (at my expense) they'll replace it so while that's not ideal at least I did eventually get a reply.

All they're doing is encouraging people not to order direct. I'd much rather order from amazon where they will replace a scratched disc at their expense. Then Treasured are having to lose a cut if profit to Amazon. But they have nobody to blame for that but themselves. Yeh, support Independent companies, but not at the expense of bad service and more unforeseen costs on your end returning scratched discs. If I didn't care about scratches and scuffed boxsets I'd order second hand. This and another recent issue with another boutique label has flat out put me off buying the limited sets. I'll wait for the standard editions now. I'm done with paying more to get bad service and dented scruffy boxsets

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. All I get for ordering direct is a silly fridge magnet and hassle.

Couldn't agree more. Perhaps you could post it here too for us luddites without Insta!

I have no idea how to post a picture in this forum unfortunately, and I only have a very old phone with less than 1gb left on it, so can't install any new apps

I was at the Jeff Lieberman cinema event earlier, and turns out that Dawn of the Mummy needed a lot more work on it than expected due to the elements, and that's mainly contributed towards the delays.

They also have an additional member of staff now, so things should be speeding up a bit.

I'd rather they take their time & get this right instead of them doing a rushed botched job.

Yeah, the delay is very valid in this case. Even with all the work it's still going to have some shortcomings as there just aren't any really good elements for it. Seems it just wasn't looked after. What TF do is going to be as good as it will get.

Agreed. But why not admit this instead of lying on their Facebook page and blaming manufacturing delays??
