From memory it's all simulated and there's no hardcore at all and the only fogging is of genital areas prior to and after the act.

But someone who has seen them more recently than me may want to confirm for sure.

All this talk of whether or not the fogging/obscuring will be "baked" into the print - I'm no expert, but I do know at some point for these types of films, as well as Japanese erotica and porn, they always prepared uncensored versions for foreign markets. Does anyone know when they started doing that? (Suspect it's much more recent than when these three were made)

That doesn't really make sense as you are doing it yourself regardless of trying to make a point or not.

There is no other way for these films to be seen haha.

Often the optical blurring on Nikkatsu films wasn't even hiding anything. They just blurred out general regions of someone's anatomy to make it seem like something is there, when in reality they were covered up.

Exactly as Jared said above, there is unlikely to be any other way to see the films fully uncensored. This was (and still is) always done at the source before a film was released and any files or raw elements 88 got hold of would, 99.999999recurring% certain, already have the blurring in place.

There are no un-fogged prints:

The optical fogging was done in post production, therefore the masters contain the fogging and no un-fogged prints exist.

Stinks that this is a UK only release. Oh well. Hopefully Unearthed, Massacre, or E4444 licensed these for the US.

they'd have been wearing some kind of device or garment, flesh coloured, which would then be blurred, iirc.

sometimes i've been pretty sure i've seen such things on view for briefest moments without them being blurred.

there are more capable authorities than me that could clear this issue up ... nsfw >

I have seen some JAV which has been un-blurred to a degree & they now don't need to pixilate pubic hair

Well if the camera negative exists and could be used, there would be no fogging.
However if the actors were covered with the fogging in mind, it would be of no use.

Certainly morally, if not contractually, it would be a minefield to reveal things that everyone making the film thought would be unseen.
Arguably if they were wearing something anyway it might be less eye catching than the blurring, but these aren't films that were 'censored' after the fact, they were made with every intention for the fogging to be present because the laws were known to everyone involved. This can, somewhat ironically, allow people to be much more 'explicit' in what they're performing than they ever would have been in an un-fogged movie, and filmmakers at the time definitely knew what they were working with and how to make use of it when making framing and directing decisions. The original versions were, and were always intended to be, obscured, so you're seeing the film as it was meant to be seen.

entrails of a beautiful woman was classified on the June 25th so it looks like the film will be uncut for the first time in the UK so now were just waiting for the other two.
