Got mine yesterday, this looks fantastic. Definitely similar to the The Guest in that the HDR and added grain really add a lot to it. If I didn’t know any better I’d say it was shot on film.

Watched Second Sight's UHD of The Guest a few days ago. That was a fun film and the A/V presentation was excellent.

Since it's SS, I figured You're Next would also be top-tier but it's great to have confirmation. I'll be picking up this one in the near future.

Why oh why do Amazon pre-orders always do that dispatched > arriving today by 10pm > soz see you tomorrow shtick? I'd have been happy with tomorrow if they didn't promise today!

Reasonable conclusion is don't expect it but they even manage to subvert that by occasionally delivering the bugger on a Sunday probably 1/20 of the time!

My copy from Amazon UK shipped a couple days ago, so it may reach me by the end of this week. I don't think I've revisited this one since I saw it in the theater, so looking forward to watching it again.

This was a blind buy for me and I really enjoyed the film. I found it a very entertaining slasher, one of my favorites now from the 2010s. Great looking disc too, I’m never disappointed by Second Sight.

Really enjoyed this, great fun, plenty of satisfying moments and it kept me entertained throughout. My attention span is pretty ropey at the moment but I watched this in one sitting and had a blast. Some neat twists on the form and really punchy (stabby?) action. I'd say it's pretty much up there with The Guest, and one of the best modern slashers I've seen. Plenty of subversive in-jokes and black humour, as well.

Presentation was excellent, belting release from SS. Bravo.

My copy just shipped out today. I'm really glad to hear about the filmic look of the SS scan. I love their transfer for The Guest. It looks so much better than that cheap digital Netflix streaming look of the previous transfer. I picked up the Capelight 4K for The Mortuary Collection and watched it last night. That 4K also has a strong filmic look that's not present on either the BD or stream that I found very pleasing. It's crazy how much more value a filmic texture to the look of a film adds and makes it so much more satisfying.

Agreed, I'm so tired of Amazon promising a delivery date and then entirely missing it and switching it to the next day the evening of the expected delivery. Stop making promises you can't keep, Amazon.

Also sick of their 8:00pm-9:00pm deliveries. I don't want a stranger at my door ringing my bell that late in the dark. At that time of evening I'm winding down to relax. It's ignorant to deliver that late.

Probably not as much as video bitrate and compression but it's obviously more compressed so of lesser quality.
