Godzilla Minus One 4K Steelbook (US)

I was just able to place an order at Deep Discount a few minutes ago.

And now, minutes later, that site says "This item is Currently Unavailable check back later"...



This is a bit weird as it's down across all three retailers as well.

Here's hoping they don't cancel all our pre-orders and actually honor them.

I wonder if they just pulled the listings because TOHO didn't greenlight it yet or if these retailers actually already sold through all of their pre-order stock.

If the latter is the case, then woah... that was fast!

If that was the case, then why didn't the Godzilla.com sets sell out sooner?

If the retailers sold out I don't think the listing's would be pulled though. I think it would just say sold out on the items page

The Godzilla.com release now says it's sold out, I had it open this morning but was at work and was waiting until I got home to add it. Anyway I hope there is a good alternate release somewhere.

i think they jumped the gun, target pulled the listing completely

Yeah, that is most likely the case as other major retailers like Amazon and Walmart did not even put up any listings yet.

I thought it was listed on the Godzilla.com site but after reading it again, the “exclusive” refers to the entire set. So I guess it is possible the minus color blu ray is included in the steelbook as one of the 3 discs.

im glad this is coming out, because then hopefully will buy it and see it. but at this point, i could totally understand feeling shafted. i preordered the limited from godzilla store. ill still have it. i dont regret it. but not even a month and a new edition is out. now, if this is coming out because of overwhelming response to preorders, i would retract that statement.

best case scenario, all these editions sell a ton and we get the remaining godzilla movies all available as a box set later on

Vaya con dios, op. Doing the thread for the Japanese version was a bit nerve wracking, with the false starts and everything, and this release seems to be the same.

Seems really odd to have the subs missing on the English release.

Curious to see what's actually included with the SteelBook.

As much as I like the deluxe set that they were just offering, the SteelBook would definitely be a bit cheaper and of course take up less space.

If the SteelBook has the same three discs and it only drops the non-translated fourth disc that I won't be watching, I might opt for the SteelBook instead.

Interesting. I wonder what the standard box will look like? I've already reserved the subbed Japanese set and will likely keep it just for the packaging. Though I strongly suspect the english set will only use the streaming subs and english dub, in which case I'll still get it just to support the english release, but I'll still mostly watch the Japanese set.

Honestly, I rather have the third disc be the bonus content over Minus Color if it's up to me. Not like we'll miss out on Minus Color given it's currently on Netflix; it ain't permanent, but still.
