Well, he just executive produced. It's not like was director, writer or otherwise hands-on at all. Next they'll start advertising, "plays on the same television set as all your favorite shows!"

Anyway, I'll watch it and see. I liked the anvil hitting turning into theme music in the trailer. But none of these characters look interesting, and that winking hologram girl at the end seems pretty cringey.

Coogler has already been a pretty influential voice in the MCU, so it makes sense his involvement with the series will have a pretty substantial effect, it would be disingenuous to pretend otherwise.

Try building a suit and a mini arc reactor in a cave with a box of scrap.

It was interesting until the "b***h" at the end. Not a fan of that.

The opinion I expressed was sincere and in good faith. I am honestly skeptical that a famously hands-off role will be much of a deciding factor in the quality of the show. I think this show will succeed or fail based on the work of the writers, the director(s?), the cast... really, the writers above all.

Maybe you have some good thoughts on why I'm incorrect in this case, but I don't think that accusation rises to the occasion.

I don't see it as a "hands-off" role when Proximity Media is literally co-producing this with Marvel Television.

Well, executive producer is a typically hands-off position. ...As opposed to being on set or working directly on part of the show like the director, DP, VFX etc.

Here's how I see it: assuming the current IMDB credits are accurate (maybe a big assumption, so jump in and correct me if you see me operating on incorrect info), there are six writers (not counting "based on a comic by" stuff), two directors and a credited show creator, plus four actual producers. I would think each and all of those people would have substantially more direct influence on the show than the executive producer.

Especially since he is just one of eight executive producers.

There are also two consulting producers and a supervising producer who I would guess have more of a direct impact. Certainly Chinaka Hodge, who is credited as creator, writer and one of those eight executive producers would have the bulk of the influence on the quality of the show. By and large, I'd think the buck stops with him. And then any of those writing, directing or actually producing on set would also have heavy impact. But it feels like a long walk before you get to Coogler.

Yeah, well, I still have faith in Coogler knowing how to run a production company.

Gonna be honest, this just looks GOOD.

Like it already blows Daredevil Born Again out of the water visually.

She-Hulk and Echo were awesome, imho, but glad you will not subject yourself to any more of a franchise you clearly don’t like at all…

Of course we already saw this character in Wakanda Forever so she can crossover to the movies anytime.
