Ordered the upgrade as part of Target’s B2G1 sale last week, had gotten the initial release as part of one of those sales earlier in the year. Actually really enjoyed this one, one of if not my favorite horror movie I’ve seen from this year. Since a few mentioned Sweeney’s other recent film appearances, this was probably my favorite between this Anyone But You and Madame Web, though she’s good and different in all 3. Madame Web still feels like a movie from like 2004 to me in the best worst way possible, and she has some good comedy chops, so curious to see what she does next especially in a producer type role like she was on this movie.

I do enjoy both Benedetta, and Immaculate but, they are both very different beasts. One is a nunsploitation film, the other is a horror film. The only similarities really are that, they both take place in a convent, and the main characters are nuns. Immaculate has more similarities with The First Omen. If you've seen that one, then you know what to expect.

I did a double feature tonight with this and Maxxxine. Liked both quite a bit.

This one did feel like Benedetta in the way that it turned the religious aspects on their heads. There was no immaculate conception but a lie using religion as cover .

Benedetta used religion to gain power , faking her belief and tricking others.

This was a lot of fun and super short and sweet.

I have no idea what that other guy was talking about , how id feel about Sweeney in the end of this movie. She did a great job. I loved her in this.

I loved this. Sweeney was great and none of the focus was on her looks. She did a hell of a job . This movie had some cool jump scares and decent gore. The woman jumping off the roof was very fake looking , none of the blood and guts was overly realistic, but thats OK. it fit the movie

Now, aside from the praise heaped upon the lead, here's another entry to the "haze cast over the cinematography" 4K that seems to be the general direction of filmmaking now.

The lighting fits the mood, however this one is dim to no end.

The lack of excitement/care about this release is interesting. My Target pre-order arrived earlier this week. I'm hoping Neon also manages to give us Cuckoo on 4K sometime soon.

I found Immaculate 4K for $15.00 at a used movie store down the street two days ago. I am on cloud nine, because I was afraid that this was going to be one of those 4K titles that would never show up in brick-and-mortar stores around here.

I loved this movie at the theater a few months ago. It will be a terrific viewing over the Christmas season.
