Now, if someone could tell us what the "new remaster" looks like that'd be great

Promising for me though - I ordered at HMV's eBay store, and while now sold out and now yet posted if they actually have them and have starting posting...

HMV actually dispatched my mystery, standard release earlier. I’m excited to see what I’ll get. Will it even have a cover? Or a case? Perhaps just a disc in a used McDonalds bag with a few cold fries.

I wonder how improved the picture quality is compared to the previous UHD, which i already liked. The sound should be improved also. The DTS: X track was already good.

Amazon Italy still have it https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0DJTCV35C/

It'll be the same Steelbook as usual with Italy.

A bit less than £32.00 delivered to the UK

I sampled few scenes on Apple TV (upgraded to Dolby Vision and Atmos).

Looks a wee bit scrubbed over the HDR10 version on MoviesAnywhere. There is certainly more grain and texture on the HDR10 stream but MoviesAnywhere has different parameters which usually resolves more grain YMMV

Looks like it is from the same master on a first glance plus DV and a mild DNR pass but I could be on the wrong here. So take my words with many pinches of salt.

Loss of grain can be low bitrate HEVC and it's encode settings rather than master-level DNR.

What the disc looks like is what will matter.

See I don't have the disc yet but I do have the old Cornetto trilogy and thought it was decent although my favourite Hot Fuzz was a disaster.

I hope the disc is so much better over a high quality stream which still can be used a decent reference.

That is in fact an improvement from the first UHD.

Overall it looks very nice. But what happened to the one in the TV shop though?

Dare I say it, but it looks a bit AI'ed the way it's exaggerating the sharpness of some things but not other stuff right next to it.

Well, I'm the one who still has the hair. It's technically dead, as it hasn't grown a millimeter since 2002, but I still have it.
