I respect that. That's why Shelly Duvall is the best she is so terrified that I believe it. LRD has some nice shaking/tremor moves but yeah she should be terrified by a walking corpse in love with her and shit. I'll have to re-watch it and just focus on her reactions and decide. The pouty stuff is overdone utter crap I agree. Needed to do it like Shelly pouty and scared to death and in disbelief/shocked with tremors etc.

Universal in the UK is releasing "Nosferatu" again in the Ultimate Collector's Edition - rigid slipbox, steelbook, poster, booklet, artcards, etc. At a whopping £54.99 price... That's a £10 increase compared to the other previously released UCEs.

Me too, gents. Gotta keep my Eggers collection as up-to-date and complete as possible.

In my view, Eggers is one of the most exciting filmmakers working today. He's got to that sacrosanct place that anything he releases is an event, much like with PT Anderson and Tarantino. What a thrill.

I read that that slipbox was flimsy. Based on other UK Collector’s Sets from Universal, this one will be sturdier.

Does anyone know when this is going to be available on Amazon UK? It just keeps telling me it isn't available in my region.

Which region would that be?

I've not been keeping an eye on the UE so not sure if it could be ordered previously or it's maybe sold out. Sometimes Amazon won't let you pre-order until closer to the release. It won't let me order either (you can change your country usually and it'll let you add to basket).

I like everything Eggers has done but I'm not bothering with this set as I already have the 4K vanilla release.

This might not sell out like some of his other films but if you're worried get it ordered from somewhere.

Yes, no problems with those you'll just need to make sure they ship to the US. It's also listed on international eBay.com so try that EAN (UPC): 5061088920685.

I've looked back and Amazon did have a live listing that's confirmed by the fact it's in my basket still. So, either a delay is coming or they have no stock. All European Amazon's seem to oversell limited editions too so they are not to be trusted if you're really wanting something.

And mind also most European shippers have reduced their shipping services to the US temporarily until they can figure out WTF is happening with levels of import duty (and who has to pay the duty).

If you're very desperate then you could order from HMV to someone in the UK and then pay for the shipping as a 'gift' so it'll have no shipping problems.

You can find rough shipping prices https://www.royalmail.com or try a UK reshipper https://www.forward2me.com/uk-to-usa-parcel-forwarding/ That's not a recommendation it's best to ask around.

Most reshippers allow you to enter 'gift' that should bypass all problems as long as the value is within US Customs's gift limit of $100.00.

HMV still taking orders for the UCE but they only sell to U.K., Ireland, Netherlands and Belgium.

Amazon always play silly on preorders for LEs. This according to HMV is 3,000 numbered LE worldwide.

Would never trust HMV to get stock of LEs. Whatever copies they do get they don’t even sell first ordered get copies first as the allocate to orders depending upon warehouse they send stock to and what parts of the country that warehouse will ship to. Living in a rural area we are always last in the queue as they prioritise other parts of the country first.

Wait, so you are saying Amazon UK is more reliable on fulfilling pre orders than HMV?
I was told the opposite

I ordered a 2 different collectors edition from HMV

Sorry tying on phone screen on bus.
You are correct wrong way round although context would have shown I meant Amazon.

Personally wouldn’t shake a stick at Amazon for LEs. Only worth having for in stock items. Preorders are a waste of time.

Do use for CDs though as they have a wider range than HMV and HMV overcharge on quite a few so they’re cheaper at Amazon.

Video tend to be similar prices apart from Fabulous Film titles where in many cases HMV charge above RRP whereas Amazon have the correct (lower) price.
