I’m not saying it SHOULD be $400/450, just that it probably will. I’d love to be wrong and get it for cheaper though. |

I mostly play docked but my primary gaming display is an OLED. And after getting used to the OLED Switch and the Steam Deck OLED, it's hard to go back to anything else. I may hold off on upgrading until the inevitable OLED model comes out. It will really depend on the Switch 2 features and software. If there aren't free improvements for existing games it will be an easy pass. But if BotW is playable at 60fps/Full HD on day one without any paid upgrade BS, it will be hard to resist.

I get that. But my question is, WHY is OLED still more expensive in 2025? It's OLD tech! That's what I'm saying. Nintendo should be able to mass order 8" OLED screens in 2025 at a very reasonable price to where the impact on manufacturing costs should be negligible.

One thing I really hope Nintendo considers this gen is a boost dock. I'd gladly pay $100+ for an optional dock that will further boost performance on games when playing on the TV. I seem to recall that before the Switch was announced that Nintendo had actually applied for a patent for something like that. So there's a little hope that they might consider it. I don't expect 4K on everything, but I'm simply done with 30fps gaming and if they can't do it on the base hardware, sell me a freaking dock that will make it happen.

I doubt it, and I would really hope not. If the rumors of the new Joy-Cons using hall-effect sticks are true, I would want them to also incorporate those into a new Pro controller. Also, fix the terrible D-pad on the original Pro controller.

Hopefully we get a new/improved Pro because mine has terrible drifting issues and I don’t trust a replacement to fair better over time.
