The only format labels on the disc is LPCM and Dolby Atmos.

I'm honestly surprised Dolby Vision isn't mentioned anywhere on the packaging. You would think that would be mandatory for any releases that has Dolby Vision.

Does anyone who has this having trouble getting the Atmos to work? My system is set up correctly but my Sony 4K player only sees it as Dolby 7.1. Frustrating!

As emgesp said, Dolby Vision is on the disc. Not every studio or label advertises this on the packaging, such as StudioCanal. Mercury probably just reused their BD artwork and only did minimal adjustments.

Everything’s well over here (Panasonic 824). Atmos worked beautifully.

Good to hear, thank you! I'm going to try it later in my Panny and see if that solves the issue.

No. I mean it’s possible to do a new mix but there would be no reason to.

You said your player only sees it as Dolby 7.1, which would be correct. Dolby Atmos on optical disc is metadata on a 7.1 Dolby TrueHD bed, so your player will always show 24/48 7.1 Dolby TrueHD when playing Dolby Atmos. Your AVR will display Dolby Atmos.

the blu-ray looks amazing- I hope someone can weigh in on if the 4k/DV does offer a noticeable improvement

I may have explained it poorly but at the end of the day my soundbar is not picking up on the Atmos. It's probably just an issue with my Sony player but I haven't taken the time to suss it out yet.

It’s a subtle improvement just like many contemporary 4K releases. The Blu-ray is "good enough" for many but if you have a large screen and consider yourself a videophile, you’ll appreciate the upgrade.

Oh, and the Atmos mix does have a higher bitrate on the 4K disc but as so often that doesn’t necessarily translate into a better mix.

The fact it has HDR10/DoVi is enough reason for me to upgrade, I ordered it to Canada from ImportCDs and should be here next week.

I will not upgrade Blu-rays to 4K UHD from Mercury if it's just SDR, the Steven Wilson and Peter Gabriel titles were wastes of money. If the BD had 5.1 and the 4K has a new Atmos mix, that would also be reason to upgrade even if it's SDR, but just 4K SDR alone? Nope.

I don't understand why it would have a higher bitrate in the first place. TrueHD with Dolby Atmos is lossless, so it is compressed to the point where it will remain, well, lossless.

A higher bitrate won't gain anything at all, assuming the same mix. The Blu-ray was lossless, and the 4K UHD can't be more lossless.

I’m not aware of any specifics re. the BD version, such as a BDInfo scan, but I can imagine they encoded the BD’s Atmos mix in 16-bit and now they "upgraded" it to a 24-bit container. No idea what happened but someone definitely pushed different buttons.

The upgrade from 16 to 24 bit is for the Stereo track.

I have a copy of both, hands down the 4K is an improvement for both A/V!

I love this concert, so I also upgraded to the 4K-Disc. Unfortuantely on my setup I had to disable Dolby Vision, while watching. It looks like the Dolby Vision-Layer is not completely synced up with the picture. With DV on, after almost ever cut it took a second for the brightness to be adjusted accordingly. In a concert like this, with lot's of cut's, it became very annoying very quick. After I switched to HDR it was fixed. My player is a Panasonic UB820 with the latest Firmware and my TV a Panasonic TX-77LZW2004 OLED.

I've watched this concert ten times over easily. Finally decided to upgrade and purchase this and boy am I glad I did. Yes the case is disappointing, but the disc is glorious. I didn't think I'd care about the picture upgrade, but it just makes the already amazing concert that much better to watch on my 135" screen. Oddly, like the standard Blu-Ray, the default audio track is the Stereo. Make sure you're changing it over to TrueHD/Atmos!

Interesting. I had the same, but thought it was self-inflicted as I was messing with picture settings on my projector. I was sure I had turned off the EBL on my Valerion but was still seeing some of that 'pumping'. Figured it was just cause I had changed so many settings while watching and it just got 'lost' and needed a reboot or similar. I was running mine on a Sony UBP-X700, and Valerion Plus2.
