-Probably an admittedly really good transfer -SB only -High price -No New bonus stuff -The blu will be the 2010 release -Mediocre artwork -Theater cut only Basically, mostly a minimal effort and high price release. I will give it a mild thumbs up, but I'm not going to act like overpriced table scraps is something that should be outright championed. |

I still don't know if the Disnee 4K floodgates are opening - and it's funny how this wasn't even mentioned as coming this year by the usual folks who insist that Sony will open the sluice gates soon - but my ankles are certainly damp. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that we need a ton of new features or a new transfer on a blu ray disc, but I'm just pointing out that this release looks to be bare minimum. A decently priced standard release with the extended cut would be awesome.

Still, Kurt was not the director, he had a lot of input but not enough to be considered the director. Cosmatos was the director, and this has been confirmed by numerous sources including Val Kilmer. And on top of that If Kurt turned out such a great film after Tombstone, howe come he doesn't have a sole director's credit before or after unlike Cosmatos; "Of Unknown Origin", "Rambo II", "Cobra", "Leviathan", "Shadow Conspiracy"...Kurt is waiting for John Carpenter to die to say he directed The Thing and Escape From New York! But people keep on believing on "Trust Me, Bro! News" ![]() |
