Thats not something MC would do and I have a few FF BDs mostly because they were cheaper then USA releases and had better encoding like most UK labels. They also play on Panasonics with the remote trick.

I'm very doubtful about this. The original 35mm film was a blow-up from the production 16mm and only to get it into theatre/cinema projectors; there was zero quality enhancement. 16mm on UHD can be an improvement over HD blu-ray if the mastering is good but the inclusion of a dolby-digital soundtrack is the red flag here. The same company's previous blu-ray release was remastered from "the original 35mm" and had a dolby-digital soundtrack. This is a lift & shift of that disc and may or may not have any discernable visual improvement; be it resolution or colour palette. This might be a marketing exploit.

As much as I agree with everything above it would be a really odd decision to do that for their very first uhd.

I think I'll be going with Rarewaves on their next 10% off https://www.rarewaves.com/products/5...4k-uhd-blu-ray

That'll be £37.23 a little bit more doable.

https://www.brownsbfs.co.uk/ sell FF stuff so I'll keep an eye out there.

Imagine if they'd included a replica alien in the UHD set. A screen accurate beach ball with the feet; inflate it yourself. THEN they'd sell out! I'm not feeding the damn thing though.

Ok. I was looking on their site but couldn't find the date. Wasn't it supposed to come out in June?

Originally cited for 23rd June, new release date is 3rd November 2025; UK site displays American date format which they have been made aware of.

I know Fabulous takes the piss with pricing but £40 for the general release and £47 for the exclusive will likely see limited sales.

They obviously think including a couple of posters and a booklet doubles the price.

£40 for a general release of one movie is absolutely ridiculous.

Doubly so for a label with the reputation of Fabulous.

Here's looking at you, Killing Zoe.
