The Japanese 3d Steelbooks are near impossible to get unless you live in Japan now that Happynet took over distribution in that market. I’m content getting the local 4k Steelbook and importing the amaray case 3d release.

pre-orders started on Zavvi.
https://us.zavvi.com/4k/marvel-studi.../17007831.html Does it stand to reason pre-orders elsewhere online should be up by Friday? |

I pre-ordered from Walmart but i really did not want to pre-order this from there. I was trying to save the last of my current gift card for either a store exclusive or something that iIm going to be desperate to get. I have a feeling that may be Superman. Plus I just don't like how Walmart handles pre-orders. They don't adjust if the pre-order drops in price like Amazon and I find Target has been giving me a credit to my account when that happens there too. I also feel like I'm playing Russian roulette on if you actually get your pre-order. Plus now I'm going to have to go way out of my way to get a new gift card for future release and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get to my closest Walmart right away and I want to have a card ready for Superman.
Walmart always seems to get the pre-order up first I was hoping for Amazon to already be up. Even if they are a little more money upfront, I trust them more since I know if the price drops before release date, I'll get it at the lowest price. Plus I have a surplus of money on Amazon gift card account. But it seems Amazon is always the last to go up. They haven't put up pre-orders yet for The Accountant 2 while Walmart and Target are up. Ditto for Gung Ho although to be fair, nobody but Kino's site has that up yet. So the retailer I really wanted to pre-order this from is probably going to take the longest to go up and the one i really didn't want to order from is up and i don't want to miss out. So i pre-ordered from Walmart but I guess I can cancel when Amazon's pre-order goes up and the funds will be returned to the gift card. |

Just curious, are you talking about The Accountant 2 standard or is a steel version I'm not aware of? |

But I'm very picky about pre-ordering from Walmart Karate Kid Legends I pre-ordered at Amazon.I passed on the steelbook and pre-ordered the standard Blu Ray.28 Weeks Later I pre-ordered at Target and also went with the standard Blu Ray. Jurassic World Rebirth, I'll have to decide. I've never really gotten the steelbooks for the Jurassic films other then the Best Buy Exclusive Jurassic Park: Ultimate Trilogy steelbook set back in 2011. For Jurassic World,I got the Collectible Metal Packaging but the Target Exclusive version that had an bonus disk of extra special features. For Fallen Kingdom,I got the Target Exclusive that came in a slip box with a gallery book and and bonus disk of extra special content. With Dominion, all they did was a steelbook and I liked the slip cover way more and so just got the standard Blu Ray + DVD release. So unless Rebirth reveals steelbook art that blows me away up front, I'll probably end up with the standard Blu Ray release. Superman i know, I'm going to want the steelbook unless i really dislike the art and want to keep my options open by having gift cards at the ready so i can pre-order at any of the three big retailers(I'm fine for Amazon and Target but with Thunderbolts I'm out and need to get a new gift card at Walmart (if I keep the Thunderbolts pre-order there) and it's just pain for me since I don't have Walmart close to me and they don't sell Walmart gift cards in my local stores like they do Amazon and Target. You have to get them from a Walmart or Sam's Club. I used to have a Walmart down the street from me but it closed a few years ago because the owners of the property kept raising the rent. Whenever I can get up to a Walmart,i'll load the card to cover a few potential releases since I'll also want The Fantastic Four steelbook. It's just that i can't get up there right away and with Superman hitting theaters in a few weeks, i don't want to lose out since WB puts out their pre-orders the weekend their films open unlike Disney.I need to get to that Walmart before July 11th. Quote:
Also no special features. Just a bare bones release which from I understand is normal for an Amazon original film physical release if there is a physical release. That's why I was surprised about Accountant 2 getting a physical release, Amazon Original films can be hit an miss on getting physical releases. They are a little better then Netflix original films getting physical releases though. I doubt the Knives Out sequels or Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. will ever get physical releases |
