Oh really? Even with more and more people going to realize how truly great and underrated it is? Not to mention the real a bugs life on Disney+ doing pretty good, then doing YouTube videos and they got Dave Foley back to do for drawing flick, It being featured in Disney dream valley etc.……

It was the 6th most profitable film of 2007 so from a business point of view would make sense.

Karate Kid had an active TV show on Netflix for multiple years, and the new movie was barely able to make a bit over 100 million. Far from enough for a profitable Pixar feature.

I feel like in the 2020s Pixar has been doing almost all original films, where as in the 2010s it was mostly sequels.

Agreed. Ratatouille 2 would have more relevance now too with the Ratatouille theme park rides.
