I like it except I sort of want a logo on the outer box (and maybe on the individual titles but hey at least it's the og theatrical art)

I really hope it isn’t actually limited to 4,000. I believe the Superman set was originally and they increased it to 12,000 and it had a couple of restocks.

Yeah but Superman has a MUCH bigger following than Nightmare.

True but if they just make about 2k more, so 6k total that would help a lot. I personally held off until I saw the art work.

Never hold off on limited editions. Amazon is super easy to cancel your order and they don't charge till they ship.

Yup. Been burned far too many times. I always order immediately at Amazon and leave it in place up until a week or so before release date, for several reasons:

1. As mentioned, super simple to self-cancel. There's no downside.

2. With Amazon's low price guarantee, it's quite possible that the price may dip to well below the price of your preferred retailer, as Amazon has been known to match pricing mistakes, and if it registers, even if only for a day, it will trigger your low price match.

3. Short allocations at other retailers. Amazon has been hit with this too, but it never hurts to have multiple contingency orders in place with different retailers if it's something you KNOW you want, just in case your preferred retailer cancels on you.

There literally is no reason not to.

I held off on Superman and still got it. I held off here and I feel I’ll still get it. Fate will guide me.

Don't worry, the set will come with a bunch of video and audio errors and sell out and then 2-3 years later, Warner Bros. will reprint the set with fixed discs and offer 0 replacement program.

For those of us that didn’t preorder, which country is likely to be the most English-friendly (after the UK one)?

As people know here,I'm a BD user and already have the Blu Rays and I don't usually double dip except for damage or on very rare occasions (like when the Scream Factory Friday The 13th set dropped to $79.99 in 2023,I couldn't pass that deal up even though I was perfectly happy with the DVDs) so I wouldn't be getting these anyway

The steelbook set I think is gorgeous(the standard release are is also pretty decent IMO and think the red case is a nice touch for Freddy). One of the best jobs WB has done art and design wise. I'm really hoping everyone who got their pre-orders in to Amazon actually get their sets and Amazon haven't oversold on their pre-orders. We've seen that happen a lot in recent years with online retailers. I would be pretty ticked if that happened with this steelbook set so I'm really pulling for everyone who pre-ordered the steelbook release all get their orders.

If that is the steelbook artwork we get here in the US, it looks really great!

I am pleasantly surprised by WB for once.

I can't believe it... haha

After the Superman set, that is what I was hoping for/expecting.

It's just so strange. When it comes to these U.S. Amazon Exclusive steelbook sets, someone knows to just use the poster artwork. Everything else? Grab the nearest intern and tell them they have 10 minutes.

Truthfully, considering the majority of the steelbook collections i'm pretty thrilled if that's the final product we get!

I'm also glad they kept the box mostly clean as chances are they would have done something stupid or unattractive anyways and the front will have all the spines of the beautiful og art steelbooks anyways.

Not that I expected it in the slightest but it would have been an awesome touch if they matched the hall of fame worthy DVD/VHS boxsets where they had some kind of art that went across all of the steelbooks.

I'm not usually all that high on custom packaging but I might get something like this (a magnet version) to throw onto the side strictly for nostalgia reasons.

There's an etsy store that does custom steelbook spines. I've used her a lot for DCU.

Amazon US now has artwork up too, and it is the same as the international one posted above (thankfully). New release date is September 30th.

It's not really the poster art...colors around the edges and in the background have been muted/grayscaled along with the cropping. So...this could have been a lot better, but it also could have been a lot worse. And I doubt we'll ever get anything better. Definitely the nicest looking set ever made, and that's saying something because the DVD box set was pretty cool... I kept it for a long time just because of the beautiful packaging but I finally let it go last year.
