The german title is and has always been: "Nightmare - Mörderische Träume". Although every movie fan in Germany also knows the movie by "Nightmare on Elm Street". Without the "A" before "Nightmare".

The italian title is and has always been: "Nightmare - Dal profondo della notte".

It's a joke on the movie being a story about nightmares and Freddy is a naughty Ojisan and typically Ojisan aren't evil nor have claws so it's questioning the legitimacy of a scenario wherein Ojisan is naughty and his claws are in fact as evil as one would believe them to be.

Regarding Freddy’s Revenge, I wonder if Freddy will eventually haunt Jesse’s sister Angela when she gets older. Technically, Jesse shouldn’t have nightmares about Freddy because his parents were not the group that torched Freddy. Wouldn’t Jesse be like Alice need to be pulled into the dream by Kristen for Freddy to have access to him as a victim?

In the sequels Freddy did not care if their parents were not involved in his demise..
