I may have to do that too. The UK sets are incredible with their packaging and books, and an exclusive disc. I don’t want to miss out on that.

I was looking at all the new features on the Warner 4K, didn’t think they would be able to really improve on the Blu-ray edition, but there’s some great stuff on here. I’m really interested in this feature where they re-create the Leakey make-up design on a young actor today, talking about his process and I think they said looping in some interviews with him or something. This is now an October highlight release, and times nicely with the upcoming del Toro Frankenstein.

I thought UHD discs weren't supposed to be region locked.

I don't like the precedent this sets.

It should be a great, informative podcast, I’m sure. I hope George addresses the situation about Hammer’s region locked 4K Blu-ray.

We can’t have anything nice, it seems.

One sure fire way of torpedoing the format in any case.

I will pick up the UK set. I have a region free UHD player But I never tried playing a region coded UHD. Hopefully it will play.

Yes, we know there have been locked UHDs but that's not supposed to happen as a rule.

It appears the rumor of the 4Ks being region-locked comes from the guy who runs the website and answers the mails.

I am not saying they won't do it, but I remain skeptical.

I remember how the same guy was adamant that Captain Kronos would be a website exclusive, only to see pre-orders opening up everywhere else a week after the announcement.

I am just saying that he might not necessarily be privy to any more information than we are, and since the specs say 'region B,' he may just have assumed this also pertained to the 4K discs.

We will have to wait and see.

Hopefully the UK discs aren't region locked that set looks awesome. I don't have region free 4k players only a region free standard player. If so I'll buy the US copy but I'd love to have that box. And if Dracula comes out I'm all over it.
