Fnac preorder is 99,99€. Maybe it will be cheaper on Amazon

I was looking for a future eventual sale, not a day 1 price. That's what I meant with maybe it'd be cheaper there

Hope the individuals come down to £19.99 to make them more viable as want to retain the Vintage Classics branding

Yeah I dont think they branded the recent Hitchcock Early Years box set either even though they consider it to be part of the "Vintage Classics" range

most of the times movies originated from UK are encoded pretty good for SC.

Does the box set have individual BD cases or it is some kind of digipak?

If so then I'll just get the solo releases and skip The Mirror Crack'd entirely.

There is no information about that at all. I have been trying to find out exactly that. But I can't find anything.
There is a possibility, that they are in individual boxes, looking at the size of the outer box, but thats only my thoughts.

I wouldn't worry too much about Endless Night, it's more of a weird curiosity than a star-studded whodunnit.
It doesn't fit with the other four at all.

I saw the actual Nile streamer used in the film a few years back. It was so exciting. Visited a lot of the locations too.

I've always liked Endless Night and have seen it many times, and have it on Blu Ray. But I agree with you entirely. It shouldn't be in this box set. As you said, it has nothing in common with the other four films. They were laviously filmed, and had a star studded cast, and were filmed in exotic locations. I've always believed the pairing of Hywel Bennett and Hayley Mills, in Endless Night, stemmed from The Family Way (1966) which was a box office hit and they were paired in a few films after that.

So the box will probably have all the extras of the individual movies plus the posters and booklet? I don't really care about the posters, but a 64-page booklet with pictures and new essays sounds very tempting! In the German and French box versions with 5 movies, neither the posters nor booklet are mentioned so far!?

Yeah, Endless Night is a fine film but has no real place in this set. I guess if you want more for your money fine, but it would stand out like a sore thumb for me.

The Family Way is a great film.

Not sure why everyone is hating on The Mirror Crack'd, sure it lacks the locations and larger cast but it's fun for a wet Sunday afternoon. Though Angela Lansbury is no Miss Marple, and now as times moved on, it's clear Joan Hickson cannot be equalled.

The interview with Emily Hone on EUTS will hopefully be very interesting

…. as they, like all home video distributors in the UK, have been legally required to do ever since the infamous Video Recording Act was passed in to law in 1984. It’s a good job Studio Canal did too, because without them, they would not have been able to publish all those amazing titles over the last few years, so, I for one, am thankful for that.

Bit confused now because Studio Canal themselves have posted on Facebook that the 5 disc set is released in 🇬🇧, 🇫🇷 and 🇩🇪

Fantastic news! If the image for all four films isn't pissed/puked all over, or teal washed and they all have good encodes then I'm in.

I do get a good first impression from the trailer. Colours look natural and I definitely saw some grain creeping in despite the hefty YT compression, and it only being a 1080p upload. *facepalm*

Can't say I love the artwork. It's certainly eye-catching and I like that they're going for an art nouveau style but it's a bit too modernized for my tastes.

Fingers crossed for the boxset getting an Australian release and JB Hi-Fi stocking them.
