Even if you're not a Kevin Smith fan, it's definitely worth a rental... Me? I'm going to be first in line to buy... Probably the best work by Smith yet.

Dogma's a great flick. I may have to pick this one up on BD. Consider this triple-dipping though -- I have a DVD copy (standard), one that is autographed that I picked up at 'The Secret Stash', and this would be 3.

My wife loves it though, and she can't really tolerate too long in his other movies. This one makes us think though.

Just an aside . . . I got to meet Kevin Smith back in '02 at Megacon in Orlando. I had a weekend class that day, so by the time we got from Tampa to Orlando, the line for his signing was already capped off. Being that that was the main reason for going, we were pretty bummed. But then we noticed that he went out the back door on a break, so we went back to see if we could get out to where he was, and it was wide open. He was out there with one other guy and we walked out and were just like, "Hey, what's goin' on?" and he started chatting us up. I happened to have a J&SBSB movie stub from a sneak preview in my wallet that he signed, and he was talking to us about Ybor City (big party area in Tampa) and a whole bunch of different stuff for probably about ten minutes. REAL cool guy, he always seems like he's genuinely interested in talking to his fans, and he took more time than I would have ever imagined to talk to my wife and I. Much better than just talking to him for a few seconds at the signing table.

An Evening With Kevin Smith is an awesome DVD, by the way, for those who haven't seen it.

I just didn't think it was as good as a lot of people made it out to be. I will agree with the Star Wars conversation, but I loved the first Clerks more. Olaf singing Berserker, the catatonic ex-girlfriend who slept with the old dead guy, Randall knocking over the casket, oh man I could go on about that one.

You go from insinuating they are ALL stoner movies, to citing one as an example.

If you like any of Kevin Smith's movies than Dogma is a must have. I have ALL of his movies on dvd including the animated Clerks stuff and a few stand up comedies of his. I have Jay and Silent Bob on bluray and hopefully I will eventually have ALL of Smith's movies on bluray

I'm passing on this movie, only because it airs on Comedy Central all the frickin' time.

Otherwise, great movie.

A black and white film that wasn't filmed for $27,000 would probably be pretty cool. The first scene in Casino Royale looks pretty damn good.

Clerks . . . probably won't. Granted there was a marked improvement between the original DVD release and the release of Clerks X, but I don't think there's going to be a drastic improvement. This is the definition of "on the cheap."

+1

The cartoons were very good too.

I thought Clerks 2 was decent, but would have been much better with a MUCH shorter donkey scene.

Default Dogma.. Amazing PQ.. and... AUDIO?!

Anyone else surprised by this movie? The AQ was outstanding! I couldnt believe my ears.. kept me on edge entire movie..

And the PQ was great. Plus the amount of extras.. well worth a buy.
