probably achievements but that SHOULD be all. the ign reviews are the same.

Anyone having any sound issues with Condemned? The sound seems to disappear for a second or two at random times. It did it when I downloaded the demo as well.

I was just playing this lastnight, no issue here. So far so good. I like the new fighting stile with combo attacks and how you can kill with things in the enviroment (for example driving a guy's head through a TV). One of the levels I HATED in the first one was the mall with all the damn manequins (spell check?). I just got to a part of the game lastnight where those damn things were back! There was a part of the game wehre on the wall it was written in spray paint "Look behind you" and I did....and AHHHH!!!! Guy with a saw! good stuff....

Intresting...After a quick google search it seems there are quite a few ppls with the same issue as me and its not just limited to the PS3 version. Bango -how do you have your Ps3 hooked up? I'm using the Digital Out for my sound and HDMI for video.

I was playing condemed 2 for the first time and I could here this poping noise coming from my speakers. I know for sure it was coming from the FL, FR and Center. I think it was also coming from the surrounds. I have a 7.1 setup (obviously hooked through HDMI).

Is it DTS HDMA?

the game says multi channlel in 7.1 but If I not mistaken, it gets sent as PCM but could really be dolby digital

When you go into the sound setting and pick hdmi it gives you a list of different frequecies to check and uncheck. I have all of them checked. cou;d one of them be the problem?

I was getting massive sound dropout while playing the demo as well. I went and bought the game but have not unwrapped it yet. Wrestling with wether or not I really want it or return it and wait for Gran Turismo or GTA.

I like the demo but don't know if I LOVE it. My favorite horror game so far is the last Resident Evil... decisions decisions..

i understand but they are 2 completely different games with completely different mechanics . your talking about apples and oranges. i still havent beaten the game but i love it to death. give it a shot you will agree in no time. but the multiplayer is crap and i havent tried the bum arena but other than that its a golden game that deserves to sit on a shelf.

same thing for me. sounds would lock up , cracking sometimes, and sometimes it seemed like sound was needed but nothing came out. I have 5.1 and it's hooked thru Optical out

Amazing game though. Very good after 3 hours of playing so far. Just the sound issues as the problem

Can this damage the speakers? I noticed that its not really the game making the noise (as a distorted sound effect or something) but the actual sound cutting off. If you look at your reciever youll see the little boxes that have the speakers labled (FL, FR C ect), you can see them blink. What I also wnat to know, can this be fixed with some sort of update?

i sure hope it can be fixed what an update. glad i'm not the only one. I also hope, it doesn't damage the speakers

It sucks , because the sound of the game and fx is actually really good

don't judge this game by the five minute demo. I still haven't been able to put down the first! it's fantastic!

i thought the 5 min demo was pretty good enough for me to buy the game. I was pleasantly surprised how much more there is to the game than just what the demo shows
