If you guys really want to do some damage, you could always start emailing all the religious organizations that speak out about this, and tell them of your disgust that such a format is being used to promote pornography and how Blu-ray refuses to distribute smut which corrupts our youth and breaks up families.

You don't actually have to believe it, but the media circus that would ensue would definitely put some pressure on HD DVD and boost sales for Blu-ray.

Might be a fun activity for those of you with some free time

I know there's been a lot of back and forth on this, but just so everyone's clear. PORN IS COMING TO BLU-RAY. The first title will be "Debbie Does Dallas...Again"

All the porn threads should probably be merged. The entire porn industry is not siding with HD-DVD. I know the HD-DVD fanboys wish that were the case, but it's simply not so. Scroll down a bit on this thread...

you know they need to...and I don't wanna mention this but we all know about Betamax...I know many of you will say there's already free porn in the internet compare to the past when there wasn't...but take a look...Blu-ray and HD DVD is in high definition quality and you can't get that for free in the internet...even if you can get it for free...it will take a long ass time to get it to download or stream...and you can get slow downs if ur PC specs isn't good enough...Sony needs porn if they want to end this quick...and I really want Blu-ray to win...but they are giving their opponents slight chances when they can be already dead...I love porn...and I do want to see it in 1080p...

-Vivid is putting out porn on Blu-Ray
-Replicators are making it difficult, but it can be done (Vivid found a way)
-90% of Vivid's sales used to be from DVD. Now it's dropped to 40%. As it's been mentioned many times here before...porn is not going to be as a big a factor this time around

That video is hilarious on so many levels. They know Blu-Ray is superior, which is why they want to make the discs for it. When she asks why not pick one, basically saying if blu-ray doesnt want you, go hd-dvd, he just says we're doing both, aka, Shut your mouth woman. Also, 90% to 40%, DEFINITELY says a lot about how the internet is thrashing porn on disc.

The major replicators (the ones that have installed BD replication equipment) refuse to replicate.

Bet if they asked the major HD DVD replicators, they won't either. But, we know it only costs $200K to update a line for HD DVD. Anybody can do it.

Video Library was a rental store which carried porn in addition to feature films. They were bought out by Blockbuster who nixed the porn section. It didn't stop the production and distribution of porn. Blockbuster didn't go out of business.

This is a big story only becaue HD-DVD had no new films announced at CES. Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Amazon etc. will not be carrying these movies.
