I'm watching "In the Name of the King" tomorrow on dvd, I'll know whether it is worth it soon.

And although it is "politically correct" to hate his movies. They're nowhere near as bad as the Uwe Haters(Many who posted in this discussion) claim. His movies sit at about a B-movie level. Most are enjoyable, but nothing great. Bloodrayne is one I can rewatch many many times.

lol I'd still side with Michael Bay in the fight though. Haha
They are bad when he starts calling his movies better than everyone elses.

Let's ask Uwe Boll to do this type of scene in his movie.

I have 4 of his movies on DVD including BloodRayne 1 & 2. I'd probably pick them up on blu-ray although it might be one of the few times I'm a little pickier about price.

Do they still air MTV celebrity deathmatch?

All said, some of his movies are entertaining, some are horrible...all are class B movies and if you really think you're getting a class A movie that is from Boll, think again. Know that they are class B and enjoy the ones you can.

That'd be cool if it happened and they both caused enough damage to the other that neither of them ever made movies again, or maybe just hit eachother in the head hard enough to lodge it into their heads that they both make crappy movies.

Uwe Boll is right - Michael Bay for the most part sucks for the money he has. He has some well done action scenes but most of his movies lack characters and substance. Not that Uwe Boll doesn't suck too.

At least as far as movies he's directed, none are anything more than popcorn flicks, and "The Rock" and "Bad Boys" are entertaining, but neither is a great film.

Michael Bay is a fricken genius compared to Boll. Someone here said they actually liked Bloodrayne? I think brain surgery can fix that for you...

I'm a huge Bloodrayne fan (the games of course) and that movie was complete ass to me. And I don't hate on movies of stuff that I'm a fan of, quite the opposite, I encourage and support them. But Bloodrayne was so terrible, I couldn't finish watching it. I NEVER do that and I only paid 4 buck On Demand. It was that terrible. Not the worst movie I've ever seen (that honor belongs to Highlander II: The Sickening) but definately in the top 10.

It's not politically correct to hate his movies, it's common sense.

and that word you used 're-watch' I do not think it means what you think it means...

While I am not a big Michael Bay fan, I certainly think he has made much better movies, even a few really good ones.

Uwe Boll, what has he directed that was actually GOOD?

the only correct answer to this question, if there is any doubt, is:

NONE.

Let's put it this way. How many real directors crank out 3+ movies in a year?

Does that make him the "best" director because he's "efficient" ??? I think you're onto something here!!!!!

The only other director like that is Roger Corman, and Corman himself will tell you he makes crap (and that he makes far better crap with far less money. Uwe Boll only WISHES he could be Corman)
