Well, I haven't seen shootem up, but I offer this.

AVPr features both the theatric cut and the unrated cut.

The unrated cut is actually much better, and add scenes
to the movie that in ways makes the movie make more sense.

As a special feature there is a excylopedia that features information
about aliens and predators, and a run down all predator gear, includes
clips from predator, predator 2, avp, avp2, and aliens.

When the exclopedia explanation, it includes 3d models clips from above
said movies to reiterate the point.

I thought all in all that was a tremendous resource and added to the overal
blu-ray. Of course it also includes a digital copy on dvd, if your into that kind of thing.

Shoot em up!! I wached AVP:R in a hotel room on PPV a while back, I could hardly see the picture and the sound seemed.. off. Rented it in Blu, realized that's how the movie is. But the first AVP.. now that's a good buy!

Buy them both... Shoot'em up is awesome... AVP2 is sweet... If you like action you will not be disappointed. No one is going to get an Oscar for best actor/actress... Just good old fashioned kick ass...

I hate it when people don't give a turn signal. All you have to do is move your finger one inch, one f&*!%ing inch.... LOL

So AVP 2 and Shoot Em'UP are the only 2 options?

If not than go for something else...

Thumbs up Shoot'Em Up!

I would vote for Shoot'Em Up! Lots of over the top action. Super clear PQ and great sounding audio. It is a fun action movie that you can watch several times and not get bored.

All true! Re-watchability on movies is a high priority for me.

If I had to choose between these two below average movies. it would likely be Shoot Em Up.

I did get a few laughs from it , but AVPR is crap IMO.

Recommend spending your hard earned on something else.

AVP2. It's worth it if you close your eyes whenever there are human characters on screen... Ha!

That sounds like a 'free' rental plan.

"Hell, I didn't like any of these movies. Let's see what else you have on your shelf that I'm sure not to like."
