Default batman begins

Batman is a better film period..i saw iron man last night i liked it, but it doesn't touch batman begins...and i still think Spiderman 2 is better then iron man....i even think Blade 2 is better then iron man....i think its under rated film. I loved how batman was about batman ,not like the other films they were more about the villan...Batman was about Bruce wayne becoming a man and becoming batman...I think IronMan has a great chance of making a great second movie and third movie..I think the first one was good..not great.

Iron Man has way better replay value as well. I can only watch Batman Begins every once and a while but I have seen Iron Man 4 times already, and plan on a few more visits
i have watched batman begins about 8 times its got great replay value in my mind.

I think movie goers would agree that IRON MAN was a lot more fun than Batman Begins...

If opening weekends count for anything, it seemed more people were excited to see the first Iron Man over the Batman Begins reboot. Iron pulling in 104 million since Thur night is huge for a lesser known hero.

Of course I think The Dark Knight has potential to really run up the box office.Mostly because the Joker is one of the coolest bad guys ever.

But The Dark Knight is a sequel so we will have to wait to compare that to Iron Man 2.

Right now thou it seems like everyone has Iron Man fever and I'm loving it.

It is great to see comic book movies do so well. It means we will get more of them. Hopefully they are taking note to what and why we respond so well to them and continue making good ones.

DC or Marvel I love em both!

Long live the comics! Long live the fans that help them continue on.

Iron Man replacing Batman is kind of a dumb topic. Who said Batman was on top in the first place? Hell, I still find Spider-Man, and Spider-Man 2 to be my favorites. Why should this even be a discussion? I guess we all have or favorites. Some of our hero's have had some bad outings on the big screen . Some have nailed it. Either way no one majority of people has declared Batman to be the best nor any other character. If the topic was who is your favorite comic character or what is your favorite comic book turned movie, that would have made more sense.

Batman and Iron Man can continue on equally in my opinion. One does not replace the other.

I use to feel the same way about his acting, until I stumbled across the movie, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Robert Downey Jr. practically plays the smart ass Tony Stark this whole movie minus the confidence. You want to see a great movie that will entertain you and make you laugh the whole way rent this. I own it on Blu and have turned so many friends onto it, so I knew when he was going to play Tony Stark he would steal the show. Honestly if anyone but Robert Downey played Iron Man it wouldn't be half the movie it was, so don't let that keep you from seeing it.

Am I the only one who thinks that Burton's first two Batman films were still better than Batman Begins. I mean I liked Begins but it didn't even feel like a Batman movie until and hour or so into it. I'm planning on seeing Iron Man sometime this week so I can't compare it, but if we are talking best comic book movie ever, I think we should compare it to Burton's Batman than Nolan's.

I'd have to add also that the original Superman film, along with possible it's sequel are also among the best superhero films of all time. If anyone fits the role of the character like a glove, it was Christopher Reeve, hands down!

Two different superheros in two different worlds. Even though I said Batman. I just liked the Dark Gothic feel to it. That why I liked the first two Batman movies.

Roland I think you should do another thread called: Best Mavel Comics Movie. That would be really interesting.

Good call!!! I vouch for 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' every chance I get. I've had at least 20 people come back to me ecstatic after my adamant recommendation against their reluctance to consider it.

I don't think that he was referring to 'Superman II: The Donner Cut'.

I think that he was trying to specify the Christopher Reeve, Richard Donner directed 'Superman: The Movie' over the Bryan Singer directed 'Superman Returns' for the younger crowd who automatically think of 'Superman Returns' when a Superman movie is mentioned.

yeah but that wasn't that hard. Heck just having a movie about Bruce taking a dump would have been better than B&R.

I haven't seen Iron Man yet, but as far as I'm concerned, Batman Begins isn't even in the running. Yeah...it was good, but it was long winded and took time to get off the ground.

I get Iron Man being here...because its brand new...but why Batman???

Is it because it is coming to Blu Ray???

I dunno.

There is a difference (IMO) to the Superman and Batman (of the 70's and 80's what was Batman '89?) than to the Batman Begins, Spider-man, Iron Man movies of today. I don't think think direct comparisons are quite valid. All the movies I've mentioned are great movies.

One thing I do want to complain about is the lack of a great Superhero theme/score. Can someone PLEASE have John Williams score another Superhero movie?! PLEASE?! Out of the recent superhero movies (while the scores are not bad by any means) none of them have the punch like William's Superman theme. The one that might come closest may be the theme from The Incredible Hulk coming soon that sounds to be based off the TV show theme. I would have loved to hear John Williams take on The Hulk.

I find the Michael Keaton Batman'89 to be better than Begins (hell Batman Returns is better)

and Superman 2 is better than all of them

and if we're just looking at the "modern" superhero movies i think Spiderman 1 is better than Begins, havent seen Iron Man yet

Given that Batman Begins is a terrible film, pretty much almost every Comic Movie beats it.
