I agree that Riddler would be a great to match wits with Batman.
as many as Nolan directs..

and I remember AMH saying he had an interesting role in TDK...he could very well be the Riddler as it could make sense...

but I always wanted to see Mr. Earle as the Riddler after being booted from Wayne Corp....or Enterprises...I forget...

no matter how hard I tried...I still couldn't get a good enough look to see if that was Scarecrow...

either way....he's in the movie, they wouldn't just have him disappear after not catching him in the 1st movie...

but I wish I could tell if that was him in the van or not...

I don't see why people seem to think Robin can't be introduced acceptably, sure when he was introduced but wasn't the Batman franchise at an almost all time low with how two-face & the riddler were played

But face it, at some time we will get Robin & TBH i think a proper thought out approach to introduce the character could pay off, it's not as if Robin when played right would be a rubbish character & after all, it's cause of two-face that we get Robin

Me two, but after watching watching "Sunshine" again, I figured I would IMDB Cillian Murphy to see what else might be coming out with him, and poof, there was "The Dark Knight" under his filmography.

I think the only way to do Robin would be subtly. Like have him be a kid when Bruce takes him in, not a 25 year old. Then, in the movie after that age him a little. Kind of Like Star Wars, Episodes 1-3. I still stand by my previous statement that there is more than enough to do with just Batman though.

As far as I know.. Christopher Nolan has said No Penguin and no Robin.

The Riddler is the most logical choice if there is to be a "2nd" villian in the 3rd installment. Clive Owen is my choice.

Of course, Clive Owen was also my choice for James Bond, Harvey Dent, and Frank Castle... so what the hell do I know?

I think The Riddler would be a great choice for the villian, but what about Viggo Mortensen playing him. That could get really interesting.

Wait how can you guys claim Ledger's performance outdoes Nicholson's as joker? the movie ain't out yet so those claims seem bogus, not to say that it might be true, but couldn't we hold those comments until the actual movie is out and we have seen it? just my opinion no offense to anyone I know some folks tend to take everything serious lol

I was also wondering if a mod could change my original title to The Dark Knight & merge all other threads to do with it into a mega thread

TY in advance

I know I'm not as hardcore a Batman fan as some of you, but Batman has always been my favorite superhero. I thought Batman Forever was a decent Batman movie (liked Carrey as The Riddler). However, I think the Nolan take is the best so far and this is the movie I am looking forward to the most this year. July 8 for Batman Begins and July 18 for The Dark Knight; couldn't be more excited.

Actually he is playing a character named Mike Engel so I'm not sure where you got that from.
