So you ripped them off, right? You knew the coupon didn't apply, but you tried to use it anyways.

Not to sound self-righteous, but I don't think I could I could knowingly rip anybody off. And before you give me this "Oh, but they're big, evil corporations" nonsense...

Screw it. It wasn't enough to get a good deal - so you ripped them off. In case you didn't know - that seems a bit crappy to me.

Today the kid at the hotdog stand rang my order up, took my money and gave me change.

He forgot to charge me for my fries. So I told him. And paid for them. And he thanked me for my honesty.

This is just my opinion (which I realize doesn't count for much), but I'd rather see more of this honesty stuff. It's not easy, but it's Just.

A Ha, exactly my feelings. But im not gonna go into the whole Schlep because thats how i got banned before. But everytime you rip of that "evil corporation" have you ever thought of the cashier who rang you up? That is a strike on them because you wanted to steal from them. But I guess thats just this society

Got news for you. I'm sad to say that the Southern Belle thing is a myth.

I do miss the Crawfish, Oysters, and seafood boats at Kenner seafood, the Central grocery Muffalettas, jambalaya from K-Pauls. Jacques-amo's and the sushi buffet at Oki-nago. Fried oyster Po-boys from the French Loaf, the crab chowder from Castelano's, and the andouille gumbo from Thibodeaux and Boudreau's.

I HAD written much more after this, but have deleted much since it became way off topic, and a bit ranty.

I will only say that when I lived in TN and LA, I saw first hand that you could definitely have pulled the whole coupon thing off in LA or TN much more often than in NY. The reasons for that I'll keep to myself... But just because you COULD get away with it, doesn't necessarily mean you should.

With apologies, Doc.

(and yes, we have incredibly beautiful women here too)

Seeing as how the Mods and Admin have asked posters not to post inappropriate coupons in the past (No Country for Old Men comes to mind) - I presume they would not encourage posting similar instructions on how to rip off stores, as this does not help the cause of advancing the pro-blu agenda.

i work in a supermarket one day i found a large sum of money on the ground neatly rolled up so i picked up the cash and asked a nearby eldery customer if it was her she looked at it for a few seconds and i politely said its not your money is it she said no so i took it to the service desk and said i found this money a customer dropped it bleh bleh then went out for my break.

i came back and found a customer had come in and claimed that a service clerk had stolen her money and was quite rude until the service desk pointed out she had dropped her money and someone had returned it , she did'nt even say thank you.

in the end im glad i handed it in , if i did'nt and someone claimed it anway i would have gotten into trouble for not handing it in the first place.

after that i headed to walmart to try to find shooter, they didnt have it (walmarts selection sucks), so i went to sams club to see if they would have it. not only DID they have it, they had : mission impossible 1,2,3, Blades of glory, face off , shooter, disturbia, flags of our fathers, tomb raider , italian job and a few others ALL FOR $14.99 each!!! i grabbed M:I 1,2,3 blades , face off and shooter!!!!!!

I'm glad people like you still exist. I personally would've stolen it.

You are a good man.

Man, one of my first jobs was in sales at a book store. Let me tell you, you won't believe how rude people are until you are in sales or in customer services. Sometimes it really feels like they are letting their frustration out on YOU just because... that is why I hardly ever blow my cover at a sales clerk or service clerk. They are just doing a job like the rest of us, you know? Give them a break.

Ditto. I did retail for many years in a number of scenarios. I was also a bartender. I recognize good service and reward it. Bad service? I tend to chalk it up to a poor work ethic, but if it's really bad, believe me - I let someone know.

Glad I'm not completely alone in my honesty rant.

listen doc, first off its not my fault that the cashier didnt do here job. maybe if circuit city paid there employees decent wages, they would care a little more.
secondly, dont question my honesty, circuit city ripped me off PLENTY of times. example: i asked the manager what was the best surround sound they had, i told him which bluray player i had and which plasma i had ( i physically pointed to them) and he told me to buy this 7.1 surround sound for 899.99.
he then talks me in to buying monster cables for like 200 more. i get home , hook it up and IT DOESNT WORK!!! I went back the next day, told him and he got a specialist to help me, it turns out the surround sound that HE TOLD ME TO BUY IS NOT COMPATIBLE with my current set up. No big deal, i went to return it , only to have the same manager tell me that he couldnt return the monster cables because they were spliced!!!!! so that cost me around $200!!!!
so please dont act like im the devil, i found money and returned it before too, but its not my responsibility to do someone elses job!!!!! nobody does mine, and people try to rip me off all of the time

Well why would you buy Monster Cables? Everyone knows they dont do anything extra. And CC paying their employees has nothing to do with it. 1) theres a thing called minimum wage that exists and not made by CC. 2) More money will NOT affect how someone works. If your a lazy worker for $7 your going to be a lazy worker for 9, 10, 11 dollars. You stole from circuit city, theres no way around it.

It's not like he went in there with ripping them off in mind. I don't think it's the customer's duty to report pricing mistakes. I've definitely been mischarged for things in the past, and if I don't realize it on the spot, I'm not going to return to the store to have it corrected unless it's an error in my favor. If I do realize it on the spot, it's gotta be a pretty quick decision, and I have to admit that for me it usually depends on who I'm dealing with.

He didnt go to the store intending on ripping them off? Did you read his first post?

so yesterday, i was looking on this site, and someone posted how to get national treasure 1 and 2 for 19.99(total). so i went to circuit city, they pricematched target (39.99) then they gave me $10 off of that for buying both on blu. Well, is the $19.99 deal in and of itself ripping them off? I'm not interested in the movies so I didn't look into it when it was posted. The incorrect application of the $10 coupon certainly wasn't his intention though.
