Episode 1 wasn't that great but I kinda enjoyed the Episode 2 and 3. To each their own I guess

StarWars is like StarTrek. Two huge franchises and two huge universes that can continue to grow. In both cases whether the movie is good or not, we go see it because it is part of the SW/ST Universe.

I'm so so about the Clone Wars film. I'll wait until it's released on home video.

For the OP, if you didn't know that this a live tv series coming...enjoy.

PS - Would love an episode 7,8,9 if it ever happens...perhaps based on Timothy Zhan's books.

I liked all the Star Ward movies except #1, and that's only because of Jar-Jar.

Wow, I've always thought the casting of Alec Guinness was awesome. He is Ben.

Yeah that makes me chuckle. Some are saying there was some bad acting in Episode 1-3. Let's be honest with each other, the acting, especially from Hamill wasn't that great either. lol

Default SW fan here

I'm all for many more SW movies, shows, etc.

It's great popcorn viewing and I and my kids really enjoy them.

So I'm totally psyched for the new Clone Wars CGI and will definitely see it in the theaters (DLP).

I was laughing most of the movie at the over acting being done. What are you going to do though....Hayden Christiansen what a sally if they are going to use rubbish actors they could have booked someone with more balls.
I think you should rewatch the love scenes in Ep. 2 and just TRY to take them seriously. In one take, the angle and framing...and the expression on Hayden's face makes it seem like Natalie is doing something to him under the sheets and she suddenly hurt him.

The whole theater was laughing at that when I saw it way back when.

Woah, Hold up a second

You're seriously telling me if you owned the biggest Movie and Merchandising franchise around you wouldn't wanna milk it for every cent you could get.

I don't know about you... but I would.

I really don't care what Lucas does. I'm willing to let myself get pulled in by all the hype and merchandise cos I know that I'd be doing the same thing if I had been the one to create Star Wars.

Looking forward to the Clone Wars as it's a period in the SW Universe that really interests me.

Leave George alone . I got goosebumps watching the Clone Wars trailer. I think it has to do with the sounds....burned in my memory. I think he controls our mind.

No, I would not. There is a limit and Lucas has passed it already. It would be different if he did not keep dishing out junk.

Alright jeremy I beleive you... Thousands wouldn't! But there you go. I'll admit the man has lost self control. But at the same time Star Wars 1-6 have entertained me and picked me up when I was down so I just have no hate towards him.

People take films way too seriously nowadays!

Yep for you enough is enough but imho the more Star Wars stories the better!

Perhaps if SW started like Star Trek - maybe it would not be so bad? ST started as a tv series and went from there. Got better, made some films and so on. Some would argue it was great, others would be the opposite. I think they went too far when they did deep space nine and so on and so forth. There is a limit to it all. Again, not hating on it - just saying.

Maybe if the SW series started as such on tv, it would have progressed better. However, since it started as film, there is not much to work with there. Hence, why he is doing prequels and now - an animated tv show (???). Like I said, I have nothing against the franchise or lucas himself. He has done a lot of good things. However - even he has to see the cows udders are about to fall off and find a new venue of profit. People don't realize that this whole SW thing is probably crippling the man from making another good series of something else. Who knows?

All I know and personally believe was already stated. He has to see it's getting old already. jmo

I gotta say I didn't really dislike any of the prequels!

And I actually enjoyed Episode 2. The last 45 minutes were just Brilliant, The Jedi, The Clones. Fanboy heaven!

To each their own though.

The prequels have become the favourite target for a group of die hard "original trilogy" fans. I don't know why, they are what they are; entertaiment.

When I saw EpI I did feel underwhelmed, but nothing was ever going to match my expectations for the first SW movie after all that time. But, since watching a few times since on DVD, it's actually a perfectly good yarn. No, I still don't like Jar Jar, but there's some great stuff in there, just like there is in the OT. Frankly I could live without sitting through the Dagobah stuff in Empire (yawn), yet Empire is most fans favourite because of all the other stuff going on.

We have EpI to thank for one of the best lightsaber fights of all the movies.

I loved the mini clone wars cartoons and I'll head off to the cinema to see this new one. I saw some stills and wasn't convinced, but then saw the trailer and it looks like a lot of fun.

You know what, if some of you are so much better at creating movies that George Lucas, then off you go. Do what he did, start with almost nothing and create one of the greatest movies ever made. Create an FX team from scratch, create new sound standards, do all that, go ahead, because clearly some of you could do better.

Criticism is the easiest cop out in the world; you just look at other peoples hard work from the comfort of your sofa and point out the problems. How about getting off your backsides and doing something better?

I'm a fan of George Lucas; for what he's done for cinema he has my respect. I don't agree with everything he does, but I won't throw insults at a man who has done as much as he has for our entertainment.

Anakin goes to the dark side to save his wife, then ends up choking the shit out of her? How dumb does Lucas think I am? He thinks he can have a terrible story, acting, and script. And Ill buy it because it has Star Wars stamped on it. **** that! I like Star Wars but he let his fans down with that half ass excuse for a movie.

nope. he laid the groundwork for a universe with unlimited possibilities. now we just need folks with better writing, directing, and acting skills to carry on the franchise.

lucas is a story teller. he's not a writer or director.

He directed the first one, no one seems to have any problems with that. So yes, he IS a director, a pretty good one too, among other things.

After Episode 3 I heard that there wouldn't be 7-9 because he wanted to spend time with his family and they would take up to much time. But since then this movie has been done the clone wars cartoon is suppose to begin soon and a live action TV show, unless he really isn't involved with those the spending time with family doesn't make much sense, so maybe we will get episodes 7-9, but if he waits as long as hid did last time 16 years, he will be around 80 years old and the movies will start coming out in 2021.
