Mods need to stop changing thread titles

I have seen some of the thread titles and they need changing sometimes.Some threads should have never been created. The site is trying to be professional for all ages, plus the changes help when using the search function
`Maybe the Mods will change this thread title .....Title is unclusive and you have to click on it to understand what its about

if it was rude titles and i dont have beef with mods changing but my titles were nt rude and they change. Its insulting like my english was bad or something? or they are better than me because they didnt like my title was? They should leave it as it is unless op request change.

it is insulting when original title is not offensive.

They just deleted my post, and I was asking for help. Yes I made a duplicate thread, but said to delete it, since it was in a different section and I was getting no help.

...because Wondermaker just basically handed you a fork so you could eat your words. But, since I am a stickler for spelling and grammar, I don't mind the moderators switching titles around to make everything more organized and legible. Although far be it for me agreeing with mods to become a precedent!!!

But in any case, don't rile them up. I've made my peace with them - an uneasy alliance, to be sure, but it is for the best. Plus, here's betting Miss Wonder Maker closes your thread 'ere the midnight bell tolls.

We change titles here when they're way too generic and lack description, or if the language is just atrocious. It's a hell of a lot easier to navigate any given board when the subject title's are properly written and succinctly describe the thread's question/content/etc.

english is not my first language and no one complained about my title and went along with discussion and i find this was unnecessary to change titles. i want it as it was and i felt it was insulting to correct others. My titles werent offensive.

I posted a post, with both my opinion of a movie and a link to the illegal site. I know that was wrong, but not only did they delete the link, they deleted the whole damn post.

I'm with you. It's a mod's job to stop flaming, trolling, duplicate threads, threads with no purpose, etc. but actually changing a thread's title to suit their needs, is, to quote Lisa Simpson, "pointless busywork".

We change titles here when they're way too generic and lack description, or if the language is just atrocious. It's a hell of a lot easier to navigate any given board when the subject titles are properly written, and succinctly describe the thread's question/content/etc.

I agree, but maybe a little less often? There have been many threads with great titles, not a thing wrong with them that have been changed. Apart from being just a little inconvenient, it gets confusing.

I agree 100-percent. As American citizens, as an International Community of Blu-ray fans – as HUMAN BEINGS – we have the right to express ourselves freely, as long as it remains within the general boundaries of this forum's guidelines. Too much censorship has been occurring here lately. The impression I get is that those "in charge" of the site... especially certain forum moderators ... act like they are on a power trip that has no place on an open public forum. Moderators are here to moderate; but in my opinion, some have blatantly abused their privilage to moderate by overstepping their empowerments. The result is that Blu-ray.com is no longer an open forum, but a censored forum.

Open discussion is what we are here to engage in. But how can we if we are not being allowed to openly share our thoughts? -- and occasionally employ witty moments of humor -- without facing the Blu-ray.com "Spanish Inquisition" -- which routinely edits posts -- or worse, deletes them completely.

How long before Blu-ray.com censors Blu-ray movies? How long before Blu-ray.com censors Blu-ray movie reviews?

Suspending and banning long-time members of this message board community for expressing themselves -- which in this country is our constitutional right -- is a pathetic reflection of the mindset of those who misuse their powers as moderators. The end result is the loss of some truly wonderful people who once made this message board a very cool - and informative - place to hang out.

Whoever owns this web site needs to check the moderators. If the moderators own this web site, then it is time to move on. They commit more infractions than anyone else.

How long before this post gets deleted?
